flick off the pads to midwicket when the ball is on middle or leg and on drive if ball is on offstump or outside

flick goes to square leg not midwicket, in midwicket direction by on drive only

kindly upload a video of flick off pads to midwicket, i tried with the marker on legstump but shot still goes to squareleg or an on drive.
You talking about that shot animation or ball traveling to mid wicket?

If ball traveling like Blocker said many shots have been played..Shot animation then we have to wait for contents to be added...

I am talking about the flick which is there when RAS is 9 o'clock and goes to square leg, the same flick should be there when RAS is 10 o'clock and should go to midwicket like rahul dravid, ricky ponting and others used to play, the bowlers perished everytime they bowled in their pads hoping for LBW.

I can't run the demo and video cap without stutter. But i have played plenty of leg side clips in front of square leg

I have played plenty through midwicket aswell. In fact it was one of the first things I noticed.

Imagine playing at some of these places! I have played at a few international stadiums but the feel of playing at some of these grounds would take my mind places. The one with the forest backround is simply amazing. Hope we can recreate something even remotely similar with the Stadium Creator! Thank Big Ant

@BigAntStudios @MattW These are some of the the rookie, club standard parkish stadiums i would like to see in DBC17... These while may not have the wow or epic factor of a Gabba or eden have something close and personal to all of us as at some point of time we would all have played cricket like this in coll or with friends etc!

This ESPN gallery of such places is wonderful, i would like you guys to grab a look at it and here are a few that i found would be great to have in dbc!

I once had to play in match in a similar location with a lake & temple by the side with washermen in that area was one of the fun matches i ever had, you couldnt play any offside shot cause lest the ball goes into the pond! I got out trying to pull a ball way outside off moving away form offstump and managed to top edge to short fineleg, despite seeing the ball miles before reaching me!

This is from my homestate tamilnadu, though not my town, but i have played a few matches in villages in our state and they are the best, once had to play in a ground surrounded by paddy fields that had grown waist high, we were playing Cricket with tennis ball and racket anybody who hits a six into those paddy fields had to go and fetch it suddenly everybody was a dravid :D

I have played cricket from childhood, at school and Inter college team level, while they were all great and awesome, Some of my most cherished and fun memories are playing in those boundless fields, a few times in sriperambathur helipad surrounded by unattended fields in which snakes roamed, and everytime i would ask my friend who lived there to take it and that guy could just sleep even if the snake slithered over next to him!

The thing is i dont expect BA to make these exact kind of things in game, but if a few of those rookie club stadiums can be inspired by these would be great!

Keep up the good work you guys are doing!

New front foot no ball technology?

P.S. I pretty sure that there will be no umpire's call in DRS?

Was thinking about the current bowling setup and thought of the variations allocation in the HUD.
Standard is given 11-1'o clock, outswing 7-11 and others likewise. But does the delivery have a difference when I am bowling say an outswing pointing LAS at 7 or 10'o clock..

That got me thinking that why not allot variation for that particular delivery within that allotted zone:

Eg:
For Outswing Zone:

-Normal swinging outswing with normal pace would be 9'o clock.
-Slower but more swing when bowled at LAS pointing 7'o clock [as the next zone to 7 is slow delivery][Eg bowlers like Bhuvaneshwar Kumar]
-Zipping outswing when pointed at 10-11 as it closer to standard seam up deliveries [Eg Steyn]

For In swing zone:

-Similar to outswing config just the swing variation.

For Standard delivery zone:

-Like said before this is between 11-1'o clock
-So pointing 12 would be the seam up best pace delivery.
-LAS at 11 should be the seam delivery which holds its line and moves away from the batsman due to seam hitting the ground. The path variation is totally dependent on the pitch conditions..Pitches where the bounce and seam movement is very visible this would happen. The seam movement is also very slight.
-The movement can either but just the deviation off the seam from the pitch or the delivery which swing after pitching to WK [based on the pitch condition again]
-And 1'o clock would be the Ishant Sharma type of delivery which comes in with the angle of seam pointing 1'o clock and hitting the pitch hard into the right hand batsman and seaming away from left handed...

And all the delivery variations should also depend on the run up they select.

This would bring the best depth to bowling which would make bowling the best experience one could get from a cricket game..This was also said mainly because the bowling system has made that change which could give us the freed to add more depth using those slots allotted to certain type of delivery...

this was something I was pushing for in DB14 and I'm really glad they have it now. I play a LOT of legside shots (even when I played cricket IRL) for balls that were on middle or leg - I found it the best way to get off the mark and easy 1s, 2s, sometimes 3s but also an easy way to go LBW :) (I pretty much always play as an opener..so when the ball is zipping and new, I try to minimise offside shots for obvious reasons).

I'm really excited about the new career mode...starting from club cricket, ability to move around the batting lineup, players joining, leaving, being dropped, etc. It will be interesting to see how BA actually implement this. I can't imagine the amount of coding, logic, etc that goes into this but I know how important it is re immersion. I loved the bit about eventually even seeing old ex int'l players potentially playing against you in club cricket!! (kinda like the guys playing against Michael Clarke in 1st grade).

There were/are some good suggestions on this thread which I'm hoping might make it into the final version eg. being able to influence batsmen re blocking, attacking, defensive, etc. Nothing pissed me off more than the game wrapping up with 4 runs to go and the AI not even bothering to chase properly.

@Ross - are you guys tinkering with the sim function? I know in DB14, you guys 'fixed' it so that regardless of who was in the team, the team totals (when simming) would always be 'normalized' to roughly reflect what the real team would score or something. Whilst it worked well in theory, it really killed the immersion a bit.

I hope it's not too late but along with the logo, kit, and stadium designer it would be awesome to have an option to design the trophy.
