People with consoles are more intelligent. It's a proven fact because we get all the best games. For example, we get the good FIFA's.
A PC can match those graphics if given the green signal for the added horsepower from the developers. For example, I've hardly ever found advanced graphical settings in EA sports game. Just the usual "Textures Quality", Resolution, AA and a few more useless stuff. What we care about is things like Motion Blur, Stadium Lighting etc. Something other games have easily provided and the team working on FIFA has failed miserably on.It says the 360 graphics are sharper (I assume that means PS3 as well because they are very similar in terms of hardware quality), but I suppose a good PC might be able to match them. Comparing the shots of the PC version and console versions in that mag though, the console pics still look much better imo, a PC wouldn't be able to do much better anyway.
All the info sounds great, especially about the revamped collision system.
Console toys?:
No I didn't mean that its the next breakthrough feature in the PC.I think you just answered your own question - it would not be mentioned if it wasn't new...
What's more important?
a) Having an extra man run around the pitch?
b) Having a game that looks and plays much better than the crappy PC version?

You completely misunderstood me. I did read it up, but yet I was confirming. Had I wanted to take a direct hit with it I would've mentioned it then and there. I was kind of amazed at how EA missed out on a ref, and why they were publicising it so widely when its just a small thing in the game, which made me think if its something different. There's no point arguing, but when someone says something like "You guys not had refs in consoles yet?" when it's completely obvious, or else it wouldn't be brought up in the mag which made me think he was trying to take the piss because consoles couldn't handle them or something, yet the version on the PC is one of the worst football games ever made I feel something needed to be said.
The mag isn't even released yet and the scans are already availableNo point buying it now
.
Probably. As I said the teams working on the two versions are different so the Consoles team might have not found it worth to make refs before. Now that the basic engine is set, good and running they can concentrate on stuff like this.Ok sorry about taking it like that, I just thought it was obvious that refs had not been there before and therefore no need to ask about them.
Yeah it is a bit weird that they left out refs and linesman from FIFA on 360/PS3 so far, but I suppose leaving out the animations and coding needed to make them follow the action on the pitch would give them more time to work on other, more important aspects which I would prefer over having a ref on the pitch.
