Nope, I'm pretty sure they've always been 45. Maybe at the start we had it higher, back when we were getting too many draws.

At the first, it was 55! Then, it was changed to 45 as the games became dominated by batsmen! This was what rickyp told me!

Something like the captain can have better averages, one batsman and one bowlers get a better average by 5. Could be a bit confusing though.
