A batsmen paradise. Really happy we managed to grab the 1st innings lead as the outcome was definitely heading towards a draw. Our opening is a bit questionable but thankfully we have consistent batsmen like AB, Pujara and Mathews as back-up. Bowlers did the best they could too on a pitch that was in favour of the batsmen.

It was again Dilruwan Perera for the London Lions, as the bowler who performed best. He took 6 wickets on a pace friendly wicket and restricted the Titans to 260. Only Alex Hales (54) and Alaistar Cook (49) batted well.

The London innings was similar to the one in the last match. They started horribly only for Ian Bell (67) and Shikhar Dhawan (47) to repair the damage. At 206/6, London looked in utter trouble. But then, Peter Handscomb and Vernon Philander batted out of their skins and stitched a 183 run partnerhsip with Handscomb scoring a majestic 110. He was the last man to be dismissed. For the Titans, Ashwin, Woakes and Yadav bowled really well. All took 3 wickets each at an economy of less than 2.50.

The target was not going to be enough in front of the London Lions' batsman. Although Ravichandran Ashwin tried his best to pick wickets, Steven Smith (77) batted really quickly and made sure that the Titans had no chance of drawing the match. They reached the target with 6 wickets to spare. Dilruwan Perera was adjudged the man of the match for his match figures of 7 for 126.

I'm not sure what's happening with my team. We have a quality batting and bowling unit but yet we are not able to make anything out of it. It was a typical spinning wicket and our bowlers failed to take wickets at regular interval.
A new lineup should be built here as it has worked for me in most of the leagues. We will come back strong in the next game. One of the top performers, Joe Burns' failure is quite disappointing. Hope he comes back into form soon.
