The lighting in this game, from the ground to the sky, looks brilliant.
Yeah its wonderful to take of late afternoon and arrive early evening! the game is visually stunning! I have a number of mods that enhance airports, live air traffic and even live shipping!

Great eye candy.
How long does it take in game time Auckland-wellington for example,.I must be doing something wrong never seem to be able to get to cruseing altitude or into clouds.I seem to have a constant fight between altitude and speed.Maybe i don't have enough patience or just plain inept.I did fly from Luton to Bournemouth though.I feel sorry for my passengers.

Yeah depending on your knowledge and your desire to do things by the book. I have been simming for a few years now so can program and fly the Airbus from gate to gate without too much hassle flying proper procedures but that has taken a lot of learning and reading and watching. there are some fantastic you tube channels out there: Real Airbus Pilot is a great one to fly the Airbus![DOUBLEPOST=1608560649][/DOUBLEPOST]If you set up the airbus properly it will fly itself from say 1500 ft after takeoff to 200 ft before landing. I like buzzing around in the Cessna 152 as well which is fact a lot more difficult to fly as you don't have all the computers helping you as in the Airbus.

What the pictures fail to capture is the fact that the skyscape is continually changing: you see cloud formations change, the wind blowing this way or that, individual clouds change as they do in real life and the corresponding changing of light and shadow. It really is an amazing feat especially as it runs very smooth even on a moderate machine.

Also it isn't an envelope of cloud as it were, an illusion usually used in flight sims, just surrounding say the a circle of about 60 or 80 kms around the plane.....in this sim you can zoom out to orbit and the world is covered in real time weather patterns!
