What a coincidence! Man United and Real Madrid are in the same group too in my new Chelsea save. 
Anyway, have started a Villarreal save and have sorted out the backroom staff. Next up is to offload some players off which is gonna take some time to do it.
And oh, it's just strange that Adil Rami in my Chelsea save suddenly came complaining that he is homesick!

Sigh. In my Chelsea save I got knocked out in the first round of the CL against Barcelona. What are the odds of drawing them huh.
1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, was looking down the barrel at a 1-0 loss until Kalou (whom came on for the injured Anelka) scored at the death. Travelled up to Camp Nou and got rolled by Messi, match ended 2-0 and I thought was our best defensive effort of the season :/

lol @ you playing the likes of Kalou and Anelka. Learn to make a team like mine and you'll do wonders
. Have played like 26 EPL games won 23 and have drawn 3. The only two losses in my career are 1-0 against RM and a 2-0 loss against Liverpool in League Cup semis. And the two most convincing wins are over two lower tier teams in FA Cup. Won 7-0 against both. Going to play Bayern in the 1st knockout round, hopefully we can secure an easy win. Would've loved to play Barcelona earlier

Well I wanted to start another Chelsea save before FM12 came along thus its only the first season. Also unlike most FM players I'd like to keep my squad, signings, staff and targets somewhat realistic (within moderation, which is somewhat ironic with Chelsea ). So signings like Ozil wouldn't come to mind nor overpaying City/Bayern 35 million for Jerome Boateng.
I'd have you know that Anelka (finding most of his form as a right winger in the absence of Benayoun, who I would say was my 3rd best player) pumped out a crapload of goals/assists that season as well. Alongside Mata on the left wing who was the Prem's MVP as we won the title 4 points clear of Man Shitty.
EDIT: I know what you mean with Kalou and all though, overrated and never performs when I need him to. Sold him to Fenerbahce for 8 million the following season (my current season).

Just beat Cardiff as Yeovil away from in the Carling Cup first round and we draw QPR (away) in the second. Big needed money shot ties those.

This happened to me in my Madrid save. I bid something like 30m in the summer and they rejected, then offered me him for 7m in January!

Scrap all those, Everton offered Fellaini for 8M$ to me in one of my Real Madrid saves.
I refused to bid, already having too many good midfielders and when I scout Fellaini, Everton would only be negotiating for 27M$.

Really? In a recent Napoli save I got Fellaini for like 13 million or something. Not quite the 8 they offered but way off the 27m negotiation.
