FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

How much money do you have? :p

?50 million, though I can adjust it to ?75 million if I want to. :p Feeling reluctant to spend so much on one player like that.

----------

3rd round of the FA Cup with Man Utd, somehow find myself drawn against Arsenal away from home.

Then in the next press conference, "The draw for the FA Cup has been rather kind to Man Utd, matching your side against Arsenal, a considerably weaker opponent. Is that an assessment you agree with?"

fried chicken off.

Yeah, get that a lot too. It's really silly and annoying. SI need to fix that up!

Nevermind Pinheiro. Found someone slightly cheaper from Atletico Madrid. :p

Pinheiro's technical attributes are slightly better than Marcelo's but that can improved over time. :lol

And oh, played Villarreal in a pre-season friendly. Pinheiro's setup Villarreal's goal and then get sent off minutes later for being the last man. Ended up thrashing them 7-1. :p

Also, feel like stopping this save but the first five games is tempting me to continue it. Have Man City in the Community Shield and then playing Tottenham (H), Burnley (H), Liverpool (A) and Man United (A). Those big clashes are so attractive! :lol

Football Manager 2012 is coming out on 21st October. Looking forward to it, provided my computer supports it.

Played the first five games of the season and won all of them.

Beat Man City 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw in the Community Shield. Then, opened the league campaign by hammering Tottenham and Burnley 3-0 and 4-0 respectively. Managed to beat Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield(slightly surprising given that they were playing the 3-5-2/5-3-2 formation that I always hate and have problems with!) and smashed nine-man United 3-0 at Old Trafford. :D

Ok, so I really have failed to get into any of my games apart from my Blackpool save. My Man Utd save, I'm tired of winning everything and it's no challenge. Got bored of my PSG save and other saves so in one final attempt, I'm managing in South America for the first time ever in FM. Taking over Santos and seeing how I develop Neymar, Paulo Henrique and Alex Patrick in particlular. I do have to say though that there is way too many games in a season. 19 Sao Paulo State Championship league games + playoffs, 38 First Division games and also the continental tournament.

Anyway, we've won 7 of our opening 8 matches although we haven't had any tough opposition and our match against Palmeiras will be our first real test. Neymar scored in the first game before having to go play for Brazil U20s for which he won player of the tournament and finally made a return in the last game. Same with Alan Patrick, who also scored a goal in the first game. No real stand out players, Ze Eduardo and Edu Dracena have scored 3 goals each, Durval and Ibson have scored 2 and we have a number of players who have scored one each. Robson has been strong in place of Alan Patrick with a goal and 5 assists in 5 starts and 2 appearances off the bench while Paulo Henrique has been strong with 1 goal and 3 assists. Leo has been one of our star performers though at left back continually providing a threat down the left hand side with 1 goal and 3 assists with a rating of 7.80 in 6 matches.

I'm currently playing a unusual formation with 4 defenders, 2 defensive midfielders, one a deep lying playmaker, a box-to-box central midfielder, 2 attacking central midfielders, one an Advanced Playmaker Attack (Paulo Henrique) and one an Attacking Midfielder Support (Patrick/Robson) with a lone striker, playing as a poacher, mainly just for Neymar to get in behind the defence with his extreme pace and finish off the moves and Ze Eduardo has been strong there during Neymar's time with Brazil.

hmm, what do you say to the press when you accidently subbed a player on a hattrick as you swapped the wrong striker and they ask you about it :p

We were on track to win so I wanted to keep him fit for upcoming games or whatever that answer was.

IIRC, that is the second option from the top and I usually select the first one, which I can't quite remember what it was. :p

Honestly, if you are that bored of the game, just stop playing it. Stop whining about how much you are bored of it but carry on playing.

Who's the one constantly moaning about how much they are bored by Football Manager??
