The 'new web' has a post drafts feature that auto saves posts while you type them. I think that's sufficient.

mean that, while we are writing the post it becomes safe temporarily and then suddenly the power supply cuts off, then after an hour when we turn on pc, the post would be safe? if its there, then its good:thumbs

MattW sometimes it happens that while accessing the web, the browser gives an error that we could not found planetcricket.org/forums../.
etc. no when i disconnect my connection and then agian connect it, then it works, then if possible then try to change the hosting servers:thumbs

IMO its okay actually. He has used one smiley right after a complete statement or description. But those going too many similar smilies after a simple sentence should be limited like,

Correct.

then if possible then try to change the hosting servers
We are changing servers at the same time, including a shift in location from the US to France, which brings our server closer to the bulk of our users.

@MattW a last thing I wanted to know is that after closing this site[this weekened] where should we visit next, and how long to host new site, is there any notifications before hosting the new forum?

I will be posting updates on our Twitter page on the day with progress reports for how things are progressing.

Basically, just do something else on Saturday morning, and by the time you're back in the evening, the site should be ready for you to use again, in the same place as it is now.

I can't predict exactly. I estimate 10-12 hours - it could be quicker than that or slower.

Given the timezone differences, for most users it should happen during the middle of the night or morning, so you won't lose a whole day.

But you have plenty of time to plan for something else to do.

@MattW is the main website: "www.planetcricket.org" also changing?

It isn't a shift actually, it's a change. It isn't like a new forum will be created and this one will get abandoned.

Hey Matt W don't kill me but PC one Page = ??? MB's

I would kill you, but then I would never find out what you meant when writing that.

I think you're asking how big each page you load from this site is - each page depends on the content - the basic structure is about 200KB - though that should mostly get cached the first time you visit, making the actual load dependent mostly on what the content of the posts is (any images in them for example), how many/how large the signatures and avatars people have are.

lol walked right into it
Serious answer would be that I wouldn't want to remove @zimrahil's last job on the forum.
