It's up to the one inviting battle. You can simply add a note if you want to reveal the names later, just as you decide theme, resolution etc.

There shouldn't be a compulsion, though. Anyone can invite battle of their choice against anyone, anytime. I'd rather say, the battles between battles should be avoided.
