18.4 W Hodge to O'Leary : [Wrongun] O'Leary doesn't read that delivery. He catches it with the outside of the bat and it skews to cover for Ahmed to accept a simple catch.
A. O'Leary c A. Ahmed b. L. Hodge 12 (28b 0x4 0x6) SR:42.86

Bad luck... But he is more than this... :thumbs

Youth game didn't take long. Bowled out opposition for 51, won by 10 wickets. It was a bot team so good opportunity to boost my NRR even though I don't really need to.

Well I just pulled off a dominating win over the team one position under me, with a 9 wicket win with many overs to spare.

We bowled first and Bollinger took 2 wickets in the first over. They put on an 80 run partnership though before Moxly struck in his first over. Another small partnership formed before Reshma came back into the attack and took a wicket in his first over of the spell. Bollinger finished his spell with 2 dropped catches in a row which didn't make him happy. Healy came on to replace him and he also took a wicket in the first over of his spell and they were 151/5. They lost wickets regularly after that though and Healy took 4 wickets in his last overs to finish with 5/43 off 7.5 overs and he was also on a hattrick when the innings finished as they made 180 all out, a good bowling effort on a flat pitch.

The batting was easy, Mol the only casualty, out for 29 off 19 balls with 3 fours and a six. Mjinke hit 72* off 67 but Khan stole the show with his 73* off 50 balls.

And that is Barry Healy's first Youth 5 wicket haul as he takes his tally to 25 wickets @ 29.36 in 16 matches, not a bad effort when he plays most of his matches on flat pitches.

Defeated me in previous encounter... But looking for some else this time... :yes

Well O'Leary is still in the squad and this time he will need a better score than 12 to keep his spot in the side. Ireland are batting first on a crumbling pitch and O'Leary could be in pretty soon if the openers can't do their job.

Saurashtra Lions won by 40 runs

Is this Gunpot's team playing???:eek::eek:

D. Gavarasana 24 (8b) , A. Chatterjee 43 (29b) , G. Kennedy 8-0-91-1

39.6 4 Kennedy to Gavarasana : Gavarasana clips it through the leg side, then just stands and admires the shot. Or maybe it's the hot brunette in the front row that he has his eye on...

39.5 4 Kennedy to Gavarasana : Short of a length, Gavarasana rocks back and plays a rock solid pull shot that rockets away to the boundary.

39.4 4 Kennedy to Gavarasana : Short, wide and rubbish. Gavarasana rocks back and crashes it through the off side and away to the boundary.

39.3 6 Kennedy to Gavarasana : Gavarasana advances down the wicket and lofts the ball over the long off boundary for six. Terrific shot! And well held there in the stands by the gentlemen dressed as Fred Flintstone. For a moment there I thought he might drop his pint of lager.

-210 for Geoffrey Lindsay and 150 for Taj Alam and a 31-ball 75 for Hashan Weerasiri

-5/16 for Jesse Elloit, including a hattrick:
6.1 W Elloit to Hansberry : [Yorker] Elloit seemed fired up as his name was chorused by the spectators. He wasted no time getting into his delivery stride and fired in a technically perfect, in-swinging yorker. Hansberry read the delivery early, but nothing could've saved him from that ball.
D. Hansberry b. J. Elloit 12 (18b 1x4 0x6) SR:66.67
6.2 W Elloit to Kamphuis : Wide, but he's dragged it on! He was looking to flay that away through the covers, but a lack of footwork has caused his downfall and the off stump is disturbed.
E. Kamphuis b. J. Elloit 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00
6.3 W Elloit to Hunt : The only thing that was missing was the bat. As plumb as they get!
A. Hunt lbw b. J. Elloit 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

A hattrick for Elloit!
8.5 W Elloit to Goodwin : [catch] Goodwin appears to have mixed his hobby and day-job together fishing at that one outside off and giving Garrick a nice easy catch at point.
P. Goodwin c P. Garrick b. J. Elloit 1 (7b 0x4 0x6) SR:14.29
8.6 W Elloit to Dempster : A great delivery there from Elloit, which nipped back off the pitch and between the bat and pad of Dempster.
L. Dempster b. J. Elloit 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR:0.00

That is 5 wickets for Elloit!

I might try everyone on aggressive again next week....
