FTP: From the Pavilion general chat

Wow.. I should hope for similar turnout from my game against hedger on 31st.

I have a allrounder who is a reliable spinner. Would play him instead of one of the pacers on the crumbling track

You don't get as high turnouts for friendly matches. Because my game vs Iridium is a T20 league match it should be reasonably high attendance.

I'm playing three youth players in this match and resting a few of my bowlers as well. So you should beat me and move above that other guy.

Iridium XI 307 for 9 (Poole 131, Skepple 52, Waleed 4-34) beat RAJNIKANTH 123 (Hollis 25, Kenobi 5-31) by 184 runs

Batting was a bit of a disappointment today. Skepple and Poole where the best of the batsmen with Poole scoring 131 from 100 with 7 fours and 6 sixes. A sixth-wicket stand of 95 between Poole and van Zandt hauled the team to an eventual total of 307.

Bowling was pretty good overall. van Dalen started off well taking 2 top order wickets before Kenobi came in and cleaned out the middle order to finish with 5/31, his first 5-fer.

This win keeps me at the top of the table, and gives my NRR another boost. I don't foresee any other problems in the OD league. Should be a smooth run to the end of season promotion.

I certainly hope so. I might just have to shotgun myself in the face if I don't. Knowing my luck when I play you, it wouldn't be too shocking if you won. :laugh

A needed win today against Grafton but I still lie in 6th, 4 points behind 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Batting first on an uneven pitch, Byrne and Ali dominated with 83 off 106 and 93 off 95 respectively to give me a total of 257/6 in my 50 overs.

They got off to a reasonable start with a 50 run opening partnership before Kwistel broke it in the 13th over. Fiebig struck a few overs later to have them at 63/2. Fiebig finished off his first spell with another wicket to have 2/23 from 5 as they were 3 down after 20 overs. Phillips had never struggled to take wickets throughout the season and made sure he got his name in the book with the big wicket of the opener for 62 as they were 130/4, the RRR now risen to 7.11. Tindall took his first wicket of the innings, Oldroyd taking the stumping and Tindall struck again in his next over to have 2/23 off 7 as they were 200/6. A wicket maiden then from LeBron James handed me the win pretty much as they finished 227/9, as we won by 30 runs.

James 2/39 (10)
Phillips 1/42 (10)
Kwistel 1/32 (10)
Fiebig 2/53 (10)
Tindall 2/41 (10)

Playing against the second best team in the league today. Batsman didnt do to well. Just 289 in 50 overs....
They were going strong at 100/0 in 17 overs. Now bowlers have come back to take 5 wickets in just 4 overs. Its 126/5 now. Yay:banana2 Game on

Wow.. Spectacular comeback from the bowlers. Last 10 wickets for just 44 runs. Mishra just ran through their batting order. Took 7/36:hpraise

I am taking on Wanderers on sunday. I hope I reach 100+.

I suppose a few of you would have received this:

I just asked for my old username and PC banned me. I think we both (me and aussie1st) are resposible for this. I begged for my previous username but he could not do it and I register with that and told aussie1st to close WANDERERS but he banned both account.

Sorry guys enjoy this...

Thats a shame... Luckily it wont affect the tournament as he wasn't in any of the divisions.

Just read about 2 new countries starting in FTP next season(Ireland and Scotland). My first reaction was to transfer the club there so that i could be in a higher division. Higher division means more prize money :p. Then i read that first season all the divisions of Ireland and Scotland would have prizemoney of Division 4 of other countries. :(

Still it should be a better choice. Do i have a better chance reaching division 4 of my country in 2 seasons? I dont think so. So Ireland it is.

You have a better chance of promoting in the new countries, especially if you're based in England, Australia or India because they have more divisions. In those countries, getting to division 4 is pretty hard, and in the new countries it would be much easier.

Even if the prize money is the divsion 4 level prizemoney, it's still higher than what you would get now probably. Unless of course you come like last in your division. But you get higher sponsorship and ticket prices.

Thats what i was thinking. So applied for the transfer now. :D

What country should I move to? Scotland has the better match start time which is like 8 pm here while I would prefer to move to Ireland. Which one?

Who else is moving to these countries. I think we should all move to Ireland. :p
