Game becomes choppy

Hmmm... It is similar to when you have huge lag when playing FPS games online. The frames per second are extremely low. It feels as if the complete bowling sequence happens in 20 frames, but it takes the same amount of time for those 20 frames to display as it would for a normal situation. Does that make any more sense?
i too suffered from d same problem.. jus change d game resolution to 640 by 400, turn all other graphics option either off or in the LOW mode.. :onpc

I think the first action you should take is to update the drivers for your video card. I had a similar problem when attempting to run the game with outdated drivers on my geforce4 video card. When i updated my drivers i noticed a fifty per cent improvement in the speed of the game.

I was wondering if anyone has discovered a fix for this issue?

I am having the same problem running the game on a thinkpad w/ 1 GB RAM but a 32 MB ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 card -- it starts fine and gets really slow (unplayable) within 5 overs or so (running on 640X480 w/ everything set to low).

Obviously, getting a new improved card/laptop will solve the problem but I was wondering if there was a certain driver/graphic setting tweak/game setting change etc. which can solve the problem.

Thanks!

Hey I know, I use to have same problem.

Turn you're GFX setting's to lowest, and make you're colour to 16 bit. Should be fine after that.

I tried this - still no luck :( any other suggestions? thanks

Well I advise you to call EA sports, because thats what I did, they'll ask you you're system settings. I'm sure they'll help you fix it :).

Have u tried any game tweaking software like Cacheman or GameXP might be it can help

You can find "gameXP" at my site, click on my signatures and then go to "useful softwares" section, didnt know whether it will help or not, but its only 500 KB software so it wont take so much time.

alas, tried both - still no difference...I guess I'll contact EA and see what they say. I suspect this may be a case of no alternative other than upgrading my rather old 32MB video card..sucks :(
