Game Screens

Why do you all need to do the testing, ??

The more people who test the game before it is released, the more likely that most if not all of the bugs that are in it can be spotted, identified and corrected by legend_master before he puts it up for public download.

OK, so put my name in testing :p, i'll dou a hell goo' jab' (in american acent) :D.

I personally think it's a bit early to even be thinking of testing the game at the moment. I know how much it hurts every Friday when you see some screenshots and want to play a game on it, but instead you open up Cricket 2005. Ouch.
From what I heard from legend_master a few months ago, the current staff (Myself, jk16_4, etc.) will automatically recieve a BETA version when testing begins.

well, good to see the excitement building ;)

today's screens will be the next batch of bats - from the 'Asian' regions and other - will feature MRF, MB Sher, Reebok, Fearnley, HeroHonda etc.

not too much more appears to have been done on the front end of the game this week but behind the scenes ive made some massive improvements. I've taken the performance to a new level (this was absolutely necessary and is a huge weight off my mind) and made head and hair models interchangeable - this means that there will be a great opportunity for head modellers later on to make some great heads etc...I have also completed many different skin tones, so finally the asian teams will look more asian!

So this weekend I should have Umpire's ready to go ingame, and over the coming week i will have fielders and wicket keeper populating the field. It doesn't take a genius to realise what a huge step that will be towards making the game look complete...Then I will be finalising all animations (bowlers, fielders, umpires and wicket keeper), after which will come bowling, fielding, AI and stats.

LM

PS: regarding beta testing, i'm not sure how many i'll need yet, so please can everyone hold off on that until I come back with a figure....as Skateboarder said, staff and beta testers will receive a free copy, so if the game does end up being commercial, i'll make sure they get a free copy. Just another note on that, remember it has not yet been decided about the distribution/license status, so please do not come to any conclusions about what it will be, as you may be disappointed if it turns out different. Official word on this will come closer to the time a demo is ready....stay tuned.

Great work L.M cant wait for the screenshots.

with regards to player heads, its worth remembering with the West Indians that some players backgrounds are different to others.

For example players that have Jamaican or Barbados heritage are Negro in skin and face.
Whereas players that come from other areas of west indies such as Guyana have more indian appearance.

EG-

Negro: Lara, Bravo, Gayle etc

Indian: Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Ramdin etc

;) cheers, im sure sum1 already pointed it out anyway

great work guys!

Put me into the testing seat for this one please :D
