Geelong Cats are hoping to do back to back premiers this season. They hope that Jimmy Bartel and Gary Ablett do the business this season. Bartel the Brownlow medal winner hopes to win another premier for Geelong but hopes that his mate Gary Ablett wins the Brownlow if he haves a spectacular season like last. Captain Tom Harley was delighted when Geelong broke the Premiership Drought after a 44 year drought he hopes for the same dominance as last season. Geelong first game will be the rematch as the Grand final against Port Adelaide, and Port would like to get revenge after the drubbing and the 'grandest stage of them all' last September.

Nice work mate. Shame on your freo story. But this looks good, just get better quality pictures next time. Go to GSP images or something. They have watermarks but in stories it wont matter.

Quarter 1

Port 2-1-13

He got the just inside fifty and kicked a magnificent goal. Byrnes,Egan, Bartel and Corey also got on the score sheet while for Adelaide Motlop scored twice to get Port. Port Adelaide will have to perfrom much better than have to put up against a rampant Cats

Half-time
Port 3-2-20
Cats 9-10-64

Port Adelaide didn't really do anything to boost their credentials to the other AFL teams by only scoring 1 goal and 1 behind with Pearce scoring the goal. On the other hand Geelong scoring 3 goals and 5 behinds with Jimmy Bartel scoring 2 and Nathan Ablett scoring 1 as Geelong are cruising though this match at Half-Time.

3rd Quarter time

Port 7-5-47
Cats 14-16-100

Port Adelaide put up a better fight throughout the quarter by scoring 4 goals in the 20 minutes with Steven Salopek scoring twice while Tom Lonergan scored 2 late goals for Geelong while Nathan Ablett scored another one also Byrne and Johnson also scored so Geelong will easily win this match.

Full Time

Port 10-9-69
Cats 17-19-121

Geelong Cats have recoreded their first win of the season by beating Port Adelaide by 52 points at AAMI Stadium with N.Ablett scoring 5 goals and Jimmy Bartel scoring 4. The Port put up a fight after Half-Time but before that they were terrible they couldn't score at all while Geelong had a potent partnership at FF with Tom Lonergan scoring 2 goals at Full Forward. Port Adelaide will have to rethink their approach if they are going to be Premiership contenders.
