General Cricket Discussion

There was no bias against Pakistan in article ?

I didnt read it, as indicated in my post above. Deducing from @CerealKiller post it seem apparent, probably I misinterpret his post?[DOUBLEPOST=1506785383][/DOUBLEPOST]
The Cricket Monthly is edited by Osman Samiuddin, and is editorially independent from Cricinfo. So even if you find Cricinfo biased, i think you'd like The Cricket Monthly.

Hmm. Interesting then I'll follow it. Thanks!

Yes I was telling you there was no bias, I.e. Should read it ?

Actually I read somewhere that the reverse sweep was first played by a guy playing for Kent against Surrey around the late 1800's, and he continually played it for a while, and the opposition's fans were protesting "Not cricket!"

I read that in a cricket magazine a few weeks back, but I'll double check that. But I'm not too sure Mushtaq invented that though.

It's mentioned in a Cricinfo article and in the book "The Unquiet Ones : A History of Pakistan Cricket" that Mushtaq Muhammad first used the shot against Fred Titmus in a county match. Interested to read what you have read :thumbs

Sounds familiar to me as well. Cant recall where exactly I read it. Certain was sometime early in county cricket.

A little premature, I feel. But he knows his body best. Often felt he was underutilised as a player (Especially batsman).

I guess we'll see him playing the T20 circuits around the world.

Seems he retired to focus on T20 leagues.

He was excellent for Victoria with 239 wickets in 75 games but his only test hits 1 for 153 but injury
Robbed him his career in limited over cricket
