This year's world cup just doesn't feel like one at all. The commentary team isn't the most well compiled lot either.

Or is it just me beginning to lose taste?
The former. Thank god we don't have Sanjay Manjrekar.

He literally left with a WC trophy in his hand nothing can be better than that!
True that, but my context was different. He did nothing wrong upto that point. To not give him more chances all of a sudden was bizarre to me, personally.

Perhaps age wasn't on his side. I actually like this thing about England. They are always looking ahead all the time since atleast since last 5/6 years now!

There's a popular saying that goes as, "You die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

Better now than later! He's had his years and had the success he deserved. I think it's hard to fit him in the current limited overs team of England.

I've been enjoying it. I was missing cricket after the sudden end to our summer brought about by the cancellation of the Old Trafford Test, and I can't stand the IPL, so having a couple of games a day on TV has been welcome. It's not been perfect, however, as the UAE aren't ideal hosts. The tickets are too expensive, there is little public transport to get people to and from the grounds, so unless an Asian side is involved the games have been played to virtually empty stadiums. Still, England are doing well.

So Bangladesh qualify above West Indies and Sri Lanka to Super 12 next year. ICC has so many things wrong. This world cup should have determined who would be the top 8 teams to qualify. If that would happen the teams would rank

1. Winner
2. Runner Up
3. Semi Finalist with more points
4. Semi Finalist with less points compared to the other loser.
5. South Africa
6. India (if they win against Namibia)
7. Afghanistan (higher NRR)
8. Sri Lanka

West Indies, Scotland, Bangladesh and Namibia should be playing the other 4 teams from qualifiers.
