From my own perspective it’s because….

• The playing conditions there have seldom been good for cricket in recent years. The toss fest of 2021’s WC, Pakistan’s multiple boring neutral test series, the IPL being worse off when held there, the lack of a good and lively crowd.
• The ILT20 brazenly ignoring the country’s own players for the sake of extra fringe overseas talent with the way their rules are.
