General Racing Games

Probably taking their time getting all of the rules right for this season after the changes. It'll come out, I'll play it for a while, forget about it, then play it again when the new F1 season starts. Just like with F1:CE

Anybody played Race Driver: GRID? Getting it soon, as it looks good, but would like to know if any of you have played it and if so what it's like.

By the sound of it, GRiD is a fun game, but not aimed at people who like simulations.

In rFactor do you actually control the car? I'm thinking of getting it.

Downloaded it off the rFactor site. What's the point in playing this when all you can do is accelerate and it controls it for you. I want to control the car on my own.

Also, where do you get mods from.

Yes, you control the car and all the settings and everything. Definitely recommend it, it's seriously realistic and the amount of mods available are amazing.

EDIT: You must have the steering aid on. Change it in settings if you can find it.

To get mods go to rFactor Central - Community Driven Sim Racing Resource for rFactor | rFactor Car mods, rFactor Tracks, Car Setups, rFactor Screenshots, but for them to work you must have the unlocked version and not the trial.

Any reason why every single name is taken on there? I tried AussieCricketFan. That didn't work. I try AussieCricketFan185 and that doesn't work.

Played 'Race Driver: GRID' for the first time today. I have to say it's excellent at first glance. The graphics are awesome, and I hope Codemasters do the same with the F1 game. Will post a more detailed review of it when I've played it a bit more.
