Going off topic in my own thread, does anyone have ToCA Race Driver 1?

Yep, on PS2, completed in about 3 days...

I prefer the EA Sports F1 Racing Games.Pity they stopped the series in 2003

I've played GP4,but I find it a bit too easy

EA Sports stopped the series in 2003 because Sony bought the F1 license. Sony released Formula One 04 on PS2.

No matter how bad the EA Sports version of the F1 series is, it was a wonderful game for modding. Sony just killed the whole F1 for PC genre because the rumour is that there wont be a GP5!

I used to play NFS Porsche Challenge and High Stakes (Road Challenge), they were both great in there time, yes they are arcade type games unlike the GP series which are out and out simulators (less so GP4). but great fun. In there day the graphics were great and there were so many cars and challenges it gave the games a long playing life unlike ToCA race driver

Very true, but once you taste a real sim, arcade games in the NFS series aren't that great anymore. (I have every game in the NFS series) Just for the sake of BTCC I would like to get my Race Driver to work but anyway.

I think it depends upon the mood your in, Arcade games are better if you've had a couple of beers, remember drinking and driving in simulators ruins lap times

Edit: Just played GP4 without steering help, I'm a bit rusty having not played it for so long but finally I can get the car to do what I want, Nice to be able to clip the kirbs on the apex and get a bit of a slide on, might start playing the game now.
