Sahin and the Subotic-Hummels partnership at the back have been brilliant. Lucas Barrios looks very assured up front as well. It's really about the team though - they are organised and press as a unit excellently.
Ribery and Robben have missed parts of the season through injury, and when they came back were expected to be brilliant instantly. Muller doesn't look great up front, or just behind. He lacks the flair and creativity. Schweinsteiger has played a deeper role sometimes, which hasn't really suited him. The centre back pairing is quite new and does not look assured at all. They've never really got any consistent form going this season.

After only retaining their top division status in a relegation play-off, Monchengladbach currently sit fourth, five points off Bayern in the lead. And on the other end of the scale, the team that lost that play-off and remained in division 2 (Bochum) have been flirting with relegation. Looking okay now, but still in the bottom half.
Some crazy stuff. Will be interesting to see if Dortmund/Bremen/Munchengladbach can cut Bayerns lead. 2. Bundesliga looking more exciting though - top five just six points apart. Forza Sankt Pauli!

Bayern will host Dortmund after the international break. That should be a good game.

Yeah, ikr. Robbens penalty was so crap. He hit it feebly straight into Weidenfeller hands. 
Kagawa and Lewandowski were causing Bayern problems all night. And the Pole got the winner which probably puts one Dortmund hand on the Bundesliga trophy.

was a good game in the end. a little bit stilted for the first hour or so probably due to the magnitude of the game. but the end was brilliant entertainment.
Anyone else think it's sus to have Brazilian Cacau playing for Germany? If it was genuine migration that would be one thing, but this is more like rendition for hire... I bet the Brazilian-born community of Germany could comfortably meet in a phonebox.
Germany's accustomed to migrant footballers aren't they? Podolski, Klose to name a few from Poland, Mario Gomez from Spain and to their east they have born german bred turkish Ozil, and earlier Nuri Sahin and Altintop. They have greater roots but still come under the migrants card.

not really. he's been there for years.
deco was the basically the same for portugal. And let's be honest we're all cricket fans here. probably the sport with the most blurry national eligibility criteria.
Migrants are another matter. I know Germany has a big Turkish community, so it's actually pleasing to see Ozil and the like make the team. Same to a lesser extent with Poles - there must be heaps of them in Germany, so it's credible that they're genuine migrants. But in Cacau's case (can't comment on Gomez) it appears to be pure poaching.

The only cricketing case I have a problem with is Morgan. Again, I'm making a distinction between migration and poaching.
(Anyway, women's tennis is much more problematic - at least where Australia is concerned
).
