Looking forward to playing this game, all of you on here seem really happy with the game as it is a realistc true represenatation of the game of cricket. I'm echanging the arcadey poor Brian Lara cricket for Ck2005 and i cant wait.

Good luck mate, i wish i hadnt wasted my money on BLIC aswell.

yer it is so bad. Battign is ridiclously easy, no advance shot, no stumpings, No Cpu run outs, CPu nto taking sinbgles. No stats, Shocking AI and arcadey graphics. Such a bad game. Just glad i've found it out for what it is and that im going to get a real cricket sim

Yeah and you exchange for a game where bowling is ridiculously easy, messed up AI, bowlers bowling 14 overs in ODi's, test match sessions being repeated, player models make players look like they are drugs, fielders bound around the field like 100 meter runners, silly point fielders dive across the pitch regardless of where the bowl goes, no new ball in test matches... I am sure if I think hard enough I can add to this list considerably. What I am showing is that both games are far from perfect.

Oh and apart from the graphics and possibly autoplay all the other issues can be sorted out by a patch, and looking back at Codies history I think a patch will be released, now the question do you think that EA would do the samething? I think that they won't.

Well i have it on ps2 and stop being a codeies fan boy. Don't you agree with all of my points. BLIC is a bloody let down. It is nto a god game and is of no challenge at all and the AI IS A DISGRACE. All the little things you mention about Cricket 05 are materialistic. IF you want an acrade cricekt game then then stick eith BLIC but sorry i love cricket and am an avid cricket lover and i want a hardcore cricekt sim.

good work.....enjoy your game......and here at planet cricket ...you will get many updates.....so enjoy

First of all I am not a fanboy. If you read my post all I am doing is highlighting that there are also defects in Cricket 2005. Of course I agree with your points but also think that a patch will be released which will put address these issues. Cricket 2005 is more of a simulation but it is ruined in my opinion by some alarming bugs, the main one being that if you ball a consistent line and length then computer AI does scores very few runs ie playing as Pakistan against the like of Australia and England on hard level I can consistently restrict them to scores of 110-130. These totally ruins the game for me and I am afraid from previous experience EA will not release a patch to correct these problems.

This is, or will be, sorted by tweaking the stroke files and cfgs.

I dont find this at all. The cpu ai in cricket 2005 will only let you bowl certain deliverys a few times before it adjusts. Agreed, it needs improvement but this can easily be done by the user himself now that the editors are on the way.

The only patch that can save BLIC is a big one that will take 2 years to develop and then cost you ?30 to buy. It will be called BLIC 2007.

Maybe they will have realised that having the choice of playing front or back foot shots and advance down the wicket shots are fundamental to the game.

I hope you enjoy the new game, Daxter. It's way better than BLIC but be warned, as others have mentioned, it's by no means perfect. Hopefully the AI editing that forum members are doing will iron out some of the problems.
