Give us the logic behind Chawla and Rohit Sharma's selection, Sir

Chawla has a decent future, but only IF he improves his bowling. He's young, has good control, and a good wrong un. I think he was chosen ahead of the other two (Mishra and Ojha) because he is a better batsman. He's probably there for experience, and I doubt he will get to play much, if at all. Ojha is a good bowler, and young too, but I think maybe they felt Yuvraj can bowl left arm spin if required, and Chawla being a legspinner, and a better bat and younger than Mishra counted in his favour.

As for Rohit, he has a lot of talent, and though he hasn't really done his talent justice so far, I think he will if given time. He had a bit of a raw deal in the ODI team, coming in mostly at number 6 with very few overs to play with. Kohli's stats look good, but he had more opportunities up the order, and I think Rohit is a much better 20/20 player.

Its Chawla's bad luck that he is selected ahead of Ojha. Chawla is a good enough spinner, but Ojha is definitely better and has done really well for Deccan Chargers in the IPL. A plus with Chawla is that he can bat and score a few useful runs down the order which Ojha cant. But Ojha is more specialist and maybe deserves the chance more.

Ignoring Pandey and Kohli in favor of Rohit is the big blunder.

I am not sure of Chawla's selection but Rohit Sharma quite a talent and deserves another go. The way he hit shaun tait for a six off a low full toss was quite amazing.
