Story Go Tigers Go - A Bangladesh Story! | ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

Brilliant Writing! I love the way you are telling about each and every team. I am supporting India ofcourse lets see how they perform,Gambhir needs to play his role if India wants to win the world cup. Would be interesting to see how Afghanistan perform as well.

Sri Lanka will be rearing to go having just won the Idea Cup but hopefully Bangladesh will cause an upset, I can honestly see them putting one past Pakistan. It's no wonder you won SOTQ, keep up the good work.

Very nice work, excellent presentation. Another thing I'll commend you on is that you've kept going strongly after winning SOTQ.

Afghanistan will be struggling here, with two of the stronger teams in their pool, but I'm picking South Africa to be top dog in this pool.

Group D

Hosts West Indies along with England and Ireland see themselves in Group D of the ICC World Twenty20. Ireland are the team capable of causing upsets and both West Indies and England would not like to them lightly especially as they do know how to reach the next stage of the tournament which they did last time round.

West Indies
West Indies did pretty well in England reaching the semis. Inconsistency is what they have been consistent at and they would like to change that this year especially in front of the their home crowds.

Chris Gayle, Shiv Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan along with Dwayne Bravo hold the key in the batting department. Kieron Pollard may well set the world on fire by his biggies. Though, West Indies' lose to Zimbabwe in a recent T20 will still be playing on their minds. But the 'King of Cool', Chris Gayle will be telling his boys to keep calm and he would like to begin well.

Jerome Taylor and Kemar Roach will be the sharing the new ball most probably. Both haven't had had a good match practice as Taylor was out with an injury while Kemar Roach warmed the benches for most part of the IPL. Spinner Sulieman Benn has been in good touch and will like to carry forward his form. Darren Sammy is another one who can be lethal on his day.

England
If any team can give West Indies a run for their money regarding the inconsistency it has to be England. They are certainly not the favorites this year to lift the trophy. Last year in England, the team couldn't do much either and only managed to reach the super eights. They would love to do much better in the Caribbean though.

Batting looks strong with Collingwood, Bopara and Pietersen all among the runs in the IPL. Michael Lumb had a fantastic season with the Rajasthan Royals as well. He and Craig Kieswetter, another talented player are likely to open the innings. Eoin Morgan hasn't done much in the past but still considering he's a T20 specialist might make a spot for him in the first eleven.

Pace attack is formidable with James Anderson, Ryan Sidebottom, Tim Bresnan and Stuart Broad. The spinners will come handy on the slow wickets in the caribbean and thus Swann and Yardy will be looking to put in a determined effort. Collingwood's medium pacers and Pietersen's offies may also do the job.

Ireland
Minnows in the house. But, their performances in the recent ICC events have shown they can cause upsets frequently. They surely will be looking to do the same here as well.

Captain William Porterfield and O'Brien brothers will have to bat consistently well if their team has to succeed. Pace attack will be led by Boyd Rankin who is coming back from an injury.

They will look to start well against the West Indies in the second game of ICC World Twenty20.

I think if any minnows are to progress to the Super Eight, Ireland are the most likely.

Once again that's some excellent presentation. I think the colour combination is working nicely...

:hpraise:hpraise

No more words...

Waiting For Some Action.. Also will you show us each and every match or it's just the Bangladesh once?

Not all. Only Bangladesh matches but I'll be posting a short summary of the other matches.

Ohk... That is good.. Cricket 07 with your writing and graphics = :banana2:hpraise:happy

Really Legendary presentation mate! Wishes for Bangla to reach the Super Eight. But its also too unappealing to see Aussies or Pakistan out of Super 8s.

Good work User:hpraise.
BTW, I've Made Barbados & Beausejour stadiums for C07, and you can use them as they'll be shortly released:)

Are you gonna cover all groups? I think your main cover should be Group A, and updates on other groups, as you story theme team is on Group A

I wouldnt mind him covering all the groups tbh, but it will slow things down a bit. Your call though
