Story Go Tigers Go - A Bangladesh Story! | ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

Everyone's saying AC09, but I've thought deep about this. This is the WC and I've everything what I need in C07. I mean logos, overlays, stadiums, etc. It will be easier as well for me. I tried playing on AC09 yesterday, but I'm not getting the right sort of screens even though I have tried User Replay patch. That will spoil the fun. Sorry to disappoint but I'll have to go with C07 it seems.

Providence Stadium, Guyana

Jesse Ryder playing a sweep during his knock of 41.

Day 1 of the ICC World Twenty20 saw the runners-up Srilanka from last time take on the dark-horses New Zealand in the first match. Sri Lankan skipper Sangakkara won the toss and opted to bat first on the slow and low Guyana wicket.

The veteran Jayasuriya wasn't to open. It was Mahela Jayawardene who walked out with Dilshan. Openers started pretty well as they piled up 81 runs on the board. Soon after, both Mahela and Dilshan went back to the hut after scoring 43 a piece. Skipper Sangakkara and youngster Chandimal took Srilanka to 150 which looked a competitive total.

Considering the slow nature of the wicket, Kiwis knew it wasn't gonna be easy. It was the big man, Jesse Ryder who played some impressive shots as he scored 41 runs from 35 deliveries. In the end, it was Dan 'the man' who played a matured innings of 33 that took New Zealand closer to the victory. Oram struck the winning boundary as Black Caps opened their account with two 'crucial' points.

Daniel Vettori was adjudged the Man of the Match.

ICC World T20 2010
Match 2
West Indies Vs. Ireland
Providence Stadium, Guyana

Chanderpaul smashes one for four.

It was a double header as hosts took on the Irish in the second match of ICC World Twenty20. Windies stand-in captain Dwayne Bravo won the toss and elected to have a bowl.

Irish openers hung in there against the West Indian pace bowlers. Doing so, they got the runs as well. At one stage, Ireland were 49 for no loss in 5 overs and looked to a get a big total. It wasn't to be though as Roach, Miller and Pollard put brakes on the scoring rate. They could just manage 129 runs in the which surely wasn't going to be too much for the Windies.

Andre Fletcher and Chanderpaul started off with a bang. After Fletcher departed, Chanderpaul decided to stay till the end. He did slow the pace of the innings as he scored 50 runs off 57 deliveries. But, other batsmen ensured West Indies get past the Irish total with two balls to spare.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul was declared the Man of the Match.

I might have missed it, but is Gayle injured? Surely if he is fit he should be playing for the Windies. Good start for both NZ and WI starting their campaigns with wins. Although If you are just simming the game I would recommend you not to simply sim the games. I have played alot of C07 to know when a game is simmed and after some time you can see a pattern, and it tends to get boring. What you could do is swap the bowlers around or hit a few shots as the batsman to keep things a bit different. you will get different results, because Ireland scoring 129/2 is fairly un realistic.

The presentation is excellent, Haven't seen such a beautiful work, And mate could you re-upload the image because I couldn't see them.

@ BKB - Actually, I'm took the same playing XI's which were used by the teams during the WC. Gayle is injured, yes. I understand what you mean by not simming the games. Believe me, I played a bit but I can't be too much worried about these matches so simmed the matches. It'd take a hell lot of time otherwise. I'll try to improve though, Thanks.

@ Aussie - I can see each and every image perfectly.

Nice to see this back! Good update to start World T20 but can be improved more according to your (User's) level.

Good luck to the Tigers for their first match!

very nice work mate, loving the screenshots and real pictures, they go together very well and the short summary sentences make it very good.

Good wins for New Zealand and West Indies there. Nice to see both, Chanderpaul and Ryder in form.

I agree with the points BKB made but I would also say that this is cricket and we can expect some surprises in it. Ireland is a good team in my opinion and we can expect them to surprise us with playing well against good internatioanl cricket teams. Let's not forget 50 over world cup 2007. Ireland was able to beat Pakistan and Bangladesh was able to beat India. So, I would say that we should always be ready for surprises in stories at least. A writer always tries to make his story interesting and that's what User is trying to do and I personally like it. We should not forget that this story is based on Bangladesh cricket team and User cannot straight away make Bangladesh win against big teams. He would start off with other teams which are at the bottom of icc teams points table so that he can make Bangladesh win against strong sides as well to make this story realistic. Apart from this I agree with the other points BKB made. Presentation and writing is good like usual User. Overall a good update mate. :)
