Well Groobz has done some testing for me and even he liked the patch alot. The cpu now make a total of 300 + easily. And the best part is the cpu don't throw away their wicket, you should work for it.:)

Hi Goldie, its nice to hear your upcoming patch. But a request to you why wont you make a single patch for both Test & ODIs rather than making two different patch. Dont feel bad, but two differen users can play on one machine. suppose one wants to play Odi, then he has to apply that patch and other wants the test match, then he has to implement the test patch. Its being difficult to change the patch user by user. So a request to you to make a single patch for both the versions, if possible. Thats Solve.

It's close to impossible to make a single patch that will work well for both versions, two decent patches are better than one mediocre one- and it's not hard to change the patch, just keep 2 gob files and switch them over

@Gold- what's wrong with burning a CD?

This is because of two reasons:

1:The cpu's stroke selection will be different in test's and odi's.If I release them in 1 version, then the cpu's stroke selection will be bad in tests and bad in odi's.

2:If I release them in 2,then I can make the stroke selection better for test's and odi's.I'll have to change all the strokes to defensive in tests to get the cpu to play those shots and I'll have to change all strokes to aggressive or moderate in odi's to get them to play those shots.

why cant we just overwrite the current patch with the new patch?? do u really need to keep switching gob's?i dont do that.. i use a lot of patches and i just overwrite the previous ones with new ones..

actually- i have a good idea for a test and odi patch two in one.

First fifteen- Desfensive- like in ODI's they should manage 50 in first fifteen, same in tests.
16 to 35- Moderate for settled in batsmen, defensive for first 25 balls for newcomer then moderate. Will make more sense in tests and ODIs.
36-40- Moderate for all, new ones and settled
40-50- Aggresive for those who have faced 45 balls or more, moderate for rest. Might seem crazy for test.
51+- Moderate for settled(90 balls ore more), defensive for new.

Might be impossible, and if it is I don't blame ya for not being able to make it.

I suggest you read that.It will explain why I am releasing it in 2 patches.

sry.....just a suggestion.....can u modify the strokes to be Aggresive/Defensive per over??? If so, then u could do my method above.....

No mate you don't understand. There is only one set of strokes to be modified in the cfg editor, for both tests and odi's.In the odi patch,I made strokes all aggressive and in the test patch,I made them all defensive. This is to make sure that the cpu will play all the shots possible. If I release them in one patch, then the cpu won't be able to play many strokes.Got it now?

Well it was supposed to be released today but then because of the formatting and stuff I had to do yesterday,I will be releasing the odi patch tomorrow. The test patch will come later as more testing is required there.

ODI Patch Version 2.0

Here is the Odi Patch version 2.0.

Its Features:

1-Tougher Batting as requested. If you still find it easy reduce BatWindowIdealSize from 2.0 to 1.0

2-CPU play aggressively. The cpu now play aggressively to make good totals.

3-CPU rarely give away their wicket easily. If they do,it will only be in the first 5 overs or in the last 10 overs. This is because the cpu slog at these times.

4-Lots of edges. Both Cpu and the player will be able to get edges.

5-Batsmen take time to settle down. You cannot hope to hit sixes and fours with a batsman who has just come in.But when his confidence meter grows,he will play the big shots easily.

Note:-This patch currently is an ODI ONLY patch. It is only for hard level and for 50 overs only.I am working on 20 and 10 overs. But if you use this patch, please make sure it is on hard level, and it is a 50 overs match. My next patch will be the test match patch. After that,I will work on making an odi patch for 20 and 10 overs. Then of course I will improve the patches based on your feedback.

So guys please download the patch and give me some reviews.

Hey I've decided that my next patches will all be in one,not in two.So its more convenient for you.

But as for now, please give me reviews on the odi patch.

Hi Gold,

quick question mate, how do I make the cpu batsmen mistime more there strokes. I dont want more edges just would like more cpu shots mistimed?

cheers
