I have a 6200 which is ok for cricket 2005, so 6600 must run c2005 pretty well.
thats good news for me

Yes the 6600 will be sufficient for Cricket 2005 though it will huff an puff through newer games...........
true, but i don't play too many games..infact this is the only big game i play.

I heard X700 pro is also decent enough, for medium sort of range.

I know 100% that I need a card that runs with PCI-E!

If your mobo has a PCIE slot then its all well and good, however if it doesn't, to convert to PCIE you'd have to replace your mobo, cpu, graphics card, and ram.

Btw, which graphic card is better mine or my dads?

I don't really know much about the 6200, but I do know that 5200 is a pretty poor card by today's standards, so the 6200 is definitely better.

Actually i guess that you must be using an onboard 6200 maybe, and if its onboard then definitely the FX 5200 is better. And no it doesnt depend on the monitor. Infact, lower monitors have lower resolution and therefore more framerrates.

Yea my card sucks I found out last night it was 128MB whereas my dads is 256MB although it is really old, it does the business........but I'm sure it will struggle with future PC games!

another quick question...i realized my graphic card requires a 300 W power supply. How can i check for the power supply of my PC?

It should be printed on the powersupply itself. To be honest, it would have to be a very old (or very rubbish) PC not to have a 300w powersupply.

Alright guys now that my dads cpu business is sorted I need to get my GFX card.

I know some of you recomended one but right now my max budget is only £60 from online or offline not bothered. One other thing with my dads old cpu when I put a game to the highest res it would run choppy but it should run fine or them settings wouldnt be there right? So can someone tell me how that works out?

Anyway can anyone tell me a good site that has nice bargins besides ebay or if someone comes across a good card please post!

Remember my budget is £60 and it needs to be a PCI-E Card!

Thanks again!

Anything decent will do but atm I have a GeForce 6200 Le 128MB and I can't play anything with it unless its on really low res.

Well I decided to stick with PC World.co.uk and I have my eyes set on this, just need to know is it good enough to run the following on a good res:

Counter Strike Source
FIFA Games

i dont know about other cards but i own a 6600GT and I can play most of the games at medium settings. i would suggest you not to buy any LE cards.

This card might strech your budget a by few pounds, but given the review I read, ATi x1300 worths it:

The Radeon X1300 Pro is certainly much faster than the GeForce 7300GS as it proved in the real-world benchmarks. Sadly, the 64-bit memory bus of the GeForce 7300GS limited its performance quite severely. This is really the old limitation of the card, had NVIDIA gone with a 128-bit memory controller this GPU would have been far more impressive. This latest generation of graphic cores has been crippled a number of times by limited memory buses. The Radeon X1600XT is another perfect example, unable to compete with the 6800GS due to a 128-bit memory bus.

This really hurt the GeForce 7300GS, making it more than 50% slower than the Radeon X1300 Pro in some tests. The 1024x768 results with No AA/AF enabled saw the Radeon X1300 Pro 28% faster in Far Cry, 16% faster in FEAR, 17% faster in UT2004 and 18% slower in UT2004. The 4xAA/8xAF margins were even bigger, for example the GeForce 7300GS was 55% slower in UT2004 once the AA/AF quality settings were enabled. These margins allowed the Radeon X1300 Pro to deliver playable performance with slightly higher quality settings enabled, where as the GeForce 7300GS could not
