I have sold twenty-nine PlayStation 2 games and made myself ?150, but I am stuck on what to buy with that amount of money. I have been through the list of everything I could possibly buy and narrowed it down to a graphics card, as at the moment I am stuck with a rubbish NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200. I wuld like to know:

What is the best graphics card on the market right now and what is the cost?

Thanks for your help!

look for a 256 mb graphics card at the least. i am not too sure what companies do the best though...

according to me NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 is 256 mb.
try opting for more mb card but with GOOD PERFORMANCE too..

Collect a bit more money and buy an Xbox 360.
There are so many errors with the Xbox 360 I'm not going anywhere near them. Microsoft are being sued because of these errors didn't you know. So I will wait for the PlayStation 3 next year.
Points taken kush and avk2love.

There are always bound to be a few errors when u sell by the millions. They said the same about the iPods but I haven't come across any problem. By the time the PS3 comes to my desirable price, it will be spring 2007

You could go for a ATI X850 XT. Its around 300 pound and is a excellent card.
Stay away from Nvidia there terrible !

Also make sure the card is compatible with your motherboard.

thats true u have to add some more money and buy PS3 next year, XBOX 360 as u know many errors in it, so until the errors r fixed dont go for XBOX.

Nvidia is not terrible. Neither is ATI. Go with a 256mb card, Nvidia has more pixel pipelines and higher clock speeds. The Geforce 7800GTX is high end

Yeah and I have the FX 5200 128mb...and it fails. I need a new card as well. Your motherboard has AGP interface so you should buy a card with AGP 4x/8x chip type when you purchase a card. Either Nvidia or ATI. Nvidia Geforce 6600 or 6800 is the best for bang for your buck.

Nvidia horrible? don't make me laugh, The fact that ATI havent got a card to match the 7800GTX makes me laugh, the X1800XT or whatever isnt even close for the price and it took them 1 year to do so

You should be able to get a 6600GT for less than 100 pounds, post the rest of your specs so we can see if anything better would be overkill. Ignore anyone that tells you to purchase only ATI or NVidia cards, and just remember that more memory doesn't automatically equal better performance.
