Group C (Afghanistan, India, South Africa) - 12th Match Afghanistan v SA

As I've stated in another thread I don't think the Afghans have anything to be ashamed of. They just lack experience against top opposition. Underestimate them at your own peril.

Did you watch the West Indies match last night?

I am sure some dude has better things to do then watch India vs Afghanistan. St Lucia has a population just above 170 000 and they will only fill the stadium if the West Indies were to play there. It is not like India where its one country with more then a billion people. The crowds will be better in Barbados and Guyana because of the larger populations.
I am not excited about international cricket played in the subcontinent but I don't complain.

Also, its not true that India always have full house. I have noticed it before, in India they only comes if the match relates to them, other then that its never full house. And its fine. But no 1 really complained about it. IDK why he is complaining.

You cant always be bitching about something. The attendance doesn't hurt you nor can you benefit from it.

Some people :sarcasm. Its the same kinda people who will complain about teams like Afghans being there. "Oh Aus, India, SA, etc are the good teams, so only they should play cricket"

We wont cricket to flinging grow!!

Pretty sure there was full house in last T20 WC in Eng and SA and Champion Trophy in India or atleast better than crowds which are now for all matches.

Can we please leave the crowd aside? It doesn't really matter to the us, TV viewers.

About today's match. I'm hoping India can pick up their game. We needlessly gave away 3 wickets yesterday. All 3 were batsmen's mistake and they should have done better.

Also, I would rather have a specialist batsman in and rest either of Pathan or Jadeja. No point playing with 6 bowlers (excluding Yuvi and Raina). As all 3 pacers did reasonably well, I think they will retain their places along with Bhajji. 5th bowler's slot can be filled by Yuvi/Raina and if Dhoni wants some cushion Jadeja is the way to go. But having both Jadeja and Pathan play is beyond my logic.

the most awaiting game of this stage it's India vs South Africa

What i think that India should work on their bowling although they started really well in the opening encounter against afghans but against Africa they have to give their 110%

India will not feel any worry in the bating because Sa bowling is also not very dangerous

WTF......why is zaheer nt playing.......
AND CRCICKETMAN must be happy.......KKD gets a game!

Nice start for India...

For some reason I think India will do poorly in this competition having to adjust to pitches that aren't complete roads for once.

And I have no idea how they will cope without their strategic time outs. :p

I think that South Africa will do decently but theres always a nagging doubt that they will bottle it desspite what is a strong team.

Vijay showed how can he perform with good teams.

Early morning conditions, swing bowling, Langeveldt's pace and bounce, even Sachin Tendulkar has equal chance of getting out like that. Cut him some slack. You think Sehwag would have stood in and scored better had he been there for Vijay? Or even Gambhir in his current form? In a T20, any team is tough and Vijay scored against an unknown Afghan side for 48 runs. He clicked in his debut match.

Good that people expect nothing from India. Thats good for us!

Was the IPL played by only Indians?

Still, the first ball he was facing and he played that shot. Sehwag and Gambhir would have scored more. This guys lacks expirence. He played his first T20 yesterday at outside subcontinent and we were expecting him to perform well in tournament. Really, how many internationals Vijay have played outside SC?

Edit- Just checked his stats. He hasn't played any :facepalm. Infact he has only played 1 ODI and 5 Tests before going to World Cup.
