For associates playing their first international match against Zaheer, Bhajji, Nehra yeah not bad batting at all. At least way better than IR's collapse last night :rtfl

Whether they shave or not is their personal thing. Watch their game, not their body hairs. A beard is not going to affect their game and they are allowed to have it.

Vijay is holding fort so far well (a good solid innings at one end to steer us home). Hope they finish this chase in 14-15 overs and keep the NRR high. Yuvraj needs a few more hits like that to get his confidence back. I am not disappointed with India's performance. We have done well.

Edit: Damn, Vijay didnt get that fifty on debut! But very good innings on debut, one without which India could have been in far bigger trouble. Hope Dhoni and Yuvi finish this off soon.

Nehra for Man of the Match!!! He has won his place in the side for tomorrow's game vs South Africa. Hope he keeps clicking like this in this tournament.

Tomorrow's game will be crucial. Last time we won against Bangladesh but we lost to almost all other big sides. We dont want to repeat that. Yuvraj got some good batting time in the middle and Dhoni came and blazed his way to victory. Hope Yusuf and Jadeja click too. With this win, we are almost through to Super Eights unless SA thrash us big and Afghanistan thrash SA big (both are next to impossible to happen).

Last I checked, Yousuf and Inzi's scoring rate wasn't affected by either of them keeping beards. They can look however way they want as long as they try their best to score. That's what counts, not the fact that they have beards.

What's with the crowd? The stadium looked near empty, which is odd for a mega tournament like the T-20 WC. What has happened to all the West Indian fans out there?

As for the match, well, Afghanistan can take home plenty of positives from it. This is probably the first time they faced a team as strong as India and I must say that I was quite impressed with the efforts of some their cricketers like Ali Noor. Considering the state their country is in ATM, they shouldn't be playing cricket in the first place; so whatever they achieve in a tournament this big is an added bonus.

What the hell does a beard have to do with it? One of the greatest batsmen to play test cricket has a beard - Mohammad Yousuf.

Hashim Amla has a beard too...
