Cricket Guernsey confirm in a press statement that Harry Wroetoshaw has agreed to step down from captaincy in both ODIs and Test Cricket by "mutual consent".
Wroetoshaw won back to back Nations League titles as captain but insider reports suggest that he lost the dressing room after a controversial declaration just after tea on Day 4 in the Nations League final. As per reports, the bowlers were not consulted before the decision and it led to them conceding 145 runs for no wickets in the 28 overs left in the day.
Cricket Guernsey also thanked Wroetoeshaw for his contribution to Guernsey cricket as captain and wished him the best for the rest of his playing career. They also mentioned that they new captain would be announced along with the squad for the upcoming series vs Denmark in April.
