mainly because i was never fascinated with it. but after all this hype and stuff , i decided to read it. but i need your help guys.

will i have to read the 1st 5 books in order to understand half blood prince ??

Yes you will be required to read the first five before the sixth or you would not know who's who ?

If you've watched the movies, you should have a general idea of the characters and stuff, so I suppose you would be able to understand Half Blood Prince.

However, I would recommend reading them in order, much more enjoyable.

It might even be possible, too, as there seems to be a gap of 2 years between each book.

I'd rather re-read books 1 - 5 again than reading HBP. I havent had the heart to read it more than once. CRAP! The book looked rushed.

Well i've read the sixth book three times not including flick throughs...........i think its very good.

ok... so i watched the first 3 parts. 1st part was a bit boring.. 2nd part was cool with the snake thing and stuff but 3rd part was the best among them IMO !

some nice scenes in all three parts but overall..i didnt find it that excellent !
anyways.. i am gonna watch the 4th part soon..hope its good
