Hindi Music Thread

Listen to this. This one's epic.

EDIT - : Better quality link.

Nice, it sounds a lot like reggatone to me, thats a blend of spanish and hip hop music thats really popular in Texas.

I heard that Billo De Ghar song at one of my cricket teammates house, been jamming it since. Love the part after 1:35

Yeah, its a great song as well. Some of the great songs do come out of Punjabi powerhouses lol.

If you need a better quality version of that song I posted let me know.

So I finally tried to get back into singing today. :p Throw shoes at me, tomatoes at me, do whatever... just please try and listen to these and tell me what kind of efforts they are after months of no practice!

Your singing is pretty good for someone who hasn't practiced for months, well certainly better than me :p, but if you practiced regularly I'm sure you would continually improve and develop a good singing voice.

Oh how I despise Reggaetone :facepalm. Having to hear it all the time doesn't make it easier.

haha well reggaetone in moderation is good, and by that i mean 1 song every month

No song can beat this song. This song > Any song in Bollywood.

Ok let me put some sense back here.

Try listening to "Tera Hone Laga" from APKGK. Best Atif Aslam song ever. Song
"Paisa Paisa" from De Dana Dan if you want to dance madly.

I found the 3 Idiots sound track quite pleasing in the sense that it goes well with the picturization and the general flow of the movie.
`Behti hawa sa tha woh` and `Give me some sunshine` are nice soothing tracks and `Aal izz Well` is quite catchy.

Yes. Before the movie released, I wasnt interested by them. But after the movie, I have added those tracks to my Ipod. "Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh" is the best of the lot.

Hmm, have my doubts over the song 'Gumm Summ Gumm' from Paa. At first when my sister told me the name of the song, I was mistaken for Sukshinder Shinda's song 'Gum Sum Gum Sum'. Sukshinder Shinda is one of my favourite artists and has taught me a couple of times. Would really frustrate me if waht I'm thinking is true - Bollywood plagarizing, wouldn't be the first time it has happened.

On seconds thoughts, the songs are fairly contrasting. Just me trying to vent my anger on Bollywood again. Sukshinder Shinda''s song >>> Paa's song.

Its not plagarism. This song from Paa (Gum Sum) is actually an old Tamil song and it has been re-used now in Hindi by the same music director 'Ilayaraja' (I guess Amitabh Bachchan is making Ilayaraja re-use all his old classic tunes that he composed in Tamil, into Bollywood). Here is the youtube link to the original song in Tamil (dont mind the hero, he is definitely very ugly:D). Most of Cheeni Kum and Paa's songs are old Ilayaraja hit songs that are being dubbed into Hindi and used in these respective films.
