Hindi Cinema Discussion

Why is it 'shame'? Not sure I agree with the usage of that word here. I'd say 'Sad'.. Death is the ultimate truth of life and nothing to be shameful about.
Edited. I think now you can relate!

I have watched too many crime web series in the last 1-2 years. Now, I want to watch some comedy movies. Any suggestions?

Would you be interested in light weight, feel good comedy web series? If yes, please check out the following

Gullak and Panchayat

they do not require a lot of time investment - short episodes and short series. And they were very satisfying and a pleasant change from the dark, crime based shows that are mostly available now

If you are in the mood for something more intense, but non-crime, check out Bandish Bandits. Amazing show, with superlative performances and top notch music by SEL. Naseeruddin Shah is just mind blowing yet again

Bollywood is seriously in the dumps! Bachchan Pandey and Runway 34 came and went without a whisper... Jayeshbhai Jordaar came and nobody cared! Pretty excited though about Laal Singh Chaddha. Much needed film to bring Bollywood back. And also the Hirani-SRK film "Dunki".

I hope Bollywood revives their multi starrer culture. Post pandemic if they want to bring audiences back to theaters, they need big multi starrer films. Maybe the likes of the Yash Raj's and Dharma's to get back to the DDLJ/Mohabbatein/Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Ghum days. Stop westernizing those films and make them rooted in Indian ethos.

Watched "Gangubai Kathiawadi" on Netflix, was awesome. Great performance by Alia. I love all of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films.
