The songs of "Sivaji - The Boss" (Hindi) have released. The lyrics are damn funny! Anybody heard it? The attempt has been done to make the lyrics fit the tunes well, but for the Hindi audience such lyrics will definitely sound funny and humorous. Maybe that will even work in favor of the film.

Yeah but I never listened to this album till I saw someone dancing on this track.
"Striker" music is very good. Siddarth's (Rang De Basanti) first solo hero film in Bollywood. "Haq Se" (sung and composed by Tamil music director Yuvan Shankar Raja) and "Bombay Bombay" is very good. I just love Siddarth's way of narration in the 'Bombay Bombay' song. Not sure if he might get into trouble for using the word 'Bombay', but the song is very good. 'Yun Hua' by Vishal Bharadwaj (composed by him too) is a slow poison
The movie sounds different too, based on carrom. Siddarth has been promoting it a lot in Twitter. There is a certain Maniratnam-Rakesh Omprakash Mehra feel to the film in the way it looks and feels.

So it is Siddharth? The trailers keep coming on B4U and I knew he looked familiar. I thought he was Siddharth at first too but didn't think he'd accept a role in what seems like a low-budget flick.
Anyways, I am a big Siddharth fan so i'll check out the music and reviews before watching the movie. But yeah, the songs do sound good going by the short clips that come on TV.

My god! The "Cham Cham" song from Striker is so addictive. Sonu Nigam is just brilliant in this song! The music is different for Bollywood standards. Lot of use of tabla in the songs (Cham Cham and Maula). Great introduction to Yuvan Shankar Raja in Hindi music through the song "Haq Se". STRIKER MUSIC IS SUPER!
I am a big Siddarth fan too. Esp. that Telugu film of his, "Bommarillu" (which is being remade in Bollywood as "Its my life" with Harman Baweja and Genelia). He was awesome in Rang De Basanti. Comes from the Maniratnam school of film-making.

Bommarillu was awesome. Watched it just for Siddharth. I must have seen it over 8 times!

'Ibn-E-batuta' from Ishkqiya sounds good.
'My Name is Khan' is just flop music. Cant stay with a single track for more than a week. So disappointed with KJ whose music normally are of the superhit variety. The guy is just missing the seperated duo of Jatin-Lalit so much (actually Yash Raj and Dharma Productions are worst hit by the seperation of Jatin-Lalit).
He should get rid of the SEL combo and maybe think of Salim Sulaiman or the man himself, AR RAHMAN (i.e. if he has the time)!

sajda, tere naina are to a certain extent hummable but get boring and repetitive after a while.
in fact, all of the MNIK songs sound very similar.
SEL quality is degrading by the day....they are a shadow of what they were..
5-6 years back.

Yeah, quite true. Their music is produced as if they have a certain set template for all the songs, and then they just make some minor adjustments to make each one sound different from the others. But their problem is that, the template that they are using doesnt have the attraction to last for long in the audience mind.
