How do you guys make patches like the ai patch and stuff???

ok well, im not planning to make any patches, but how do you view the games' files like the 3ds models, the c++ coding or whatever, and the sounds?? i went in the c2k4 directory and there were a bunch of wierd files... is there a program you use? what is it? just curious

oh come on please.... that doesnt help . of course, i already tried searching! are there any programs with which i can edit the 3ds models (i have 3ds max, so i was wondering if i could toy around with the animations...)! i also know a bit of c++ so, how do i see the code? come on please guys i KNOW there is an answer out there...

They use all of these different editors, that let them veiw the cricket_pc.gob file, then they edit the numbers and stuff from that.
