How do you prepare for your exams?

If it's just a topic test, I might do a quick revision the night before, if it's an important yearly or something, I might do a quick revision the night before....

C & F for me. Except actually reading the book doesn't last that long. About 5 minutes max. Then I get bored.

I generally found E worked best for me (Being basically a lazy git)

Here's the simple method I used for my A Level exams:

Step 1) Forget about them, watch cricket, go out on the lash and play xbox
Step 2) The night before the exam try skimming through your text books whilst watching tv
Step 3) Frantically cram on the morning of the exam before going into the hall

Worked for me, finished with 3 C's at A2. Nice.

How is three C's "working"? I do not understand.

G. Wonder why this exam I'm apparently taking in a month isn't on my timetable.;)

Generally its D though, only usually revise properly in the 3 or 4 days leading up to them, write down some notes on index cards and then read through them. Not sure what good it does, but oh well.

Not one of the options but I try to squeeze out some excrement just before I am due to go to the exam hall.

It clears the mind.

And the bowels.

I also try and eat some form of brekkie before leaving the house. Nothing worse than trying to suppress a rumbling stomach instead of answering the question.

Really? C = Fail for me, B = definite re-sit. Never happy with anything below an A, and I'm only really happy if I get above 90%. An A is like beating West Indies or Ireland - you're relieved, but you would assume that it was in the bag to start with. 90+ or an A* is like WOOT!!

Different standards I guess. But even then, how can you be happy with C? Any moron could get a C! Even a B I get, I'd be happy with a B in Psychology, and would have been happy with Bs in Travel and Tourism, Accounts, etc. But a C is like the bottom of the barrel, especially with GCSE and A/AS levels. I would never be happy with one.

That's not true over here. I left school with 2 As, 3 Bs, 5 Cs and a D and they were way above what I expected and I was delighted.

An A for one of the Science exams at IGCSE required just 60ish percent. One can imagine a C would require around 30%, maybe less. How can you get less than 30% in any exam?

Zorax, you're an intense academic. We're not. You'll probably be an engineer or a doctor. I don't want to be either.

C is around 60% at A-Level btw.
