ICC Awards 2010 - People's Choice Award

There's a good chance if Wang Lei (China's captain) was up for it, he could very well challenge Tendulkar. :spy

I bet Indian men think of Sachin when they are making love to their wives.

:laugh

Didn't Afridi win an online poll for Cricketer of the Decade?

I think there are more Pakistani followers then Indians if you start reading their respective forums.

I think if the North Korean captain was nominated he'd win because Kim Il Sung would make his people vote or else they die :spy

If I wasn't voting for Sachin my vote would have defo gone to Dougie Bollinger. You can't not love the guy. should have been nominated.

Joke of a poll. Sachin by far the most easiest choice to make! He has been so good and better than the other players who have been pitted against him in this poll.

Agree^ Dougie's been great. It's possible they wanted people who hadn't been nominated by the match referee's though and Dougie's angry kicking of the ground when his appeal got turned down last summer probably ruled him out. Same for Watson and his taunting of Chris Gayle.

I love Doug Bollinger. Especially after his exploits for Chennai where he turned our fortunes upside down.

I hope those two comments were sarcastic...

And :facepalm @ AngryPixel's fail of a comeback.

200* against a loaded SA bowling attack, once in a lifetime experience. Sachin legit rapes all other competition like a true Gentleman.

Why do you want them to be sarcastic? You dont agree with them?
No.

a) Tendulkar is not miles above everyone else in that list
b) You actually honestly claimed that you liked a player simply because he performed in the IPL, ignoring all his achievements in Test cricket prior and after that, as though they didn't matter to you.

If you weren't be sarcastic, then you are the cliche, stereotype Indian Fan who is ruining the value of test cricket.

In making their choice for who they believe should win the LG People's Choice Award, fans are asked to consider the player who during the voting period (24 August 2009-10 September 2010) has had an all-round impact on the sport. Not only will the winning player have shown themselves to not only be the most innovative, dynamic and intelligent star in world cricket, but also somebody who has the ability to engage and excite spectators of all ages in different formats of the game. They must also have conducted themselves in a positive manner both on and off the field.

It's not based on how well they've done recently...
