The Bangladesh Cricket Board Today Announced a 21-Man Squad for the Tour of Pakistan where they will play a one of Test/ODI. They will go head to head in two T20 clashes after that. Bangladesh hasn't beaten Pakistan in a International encounter since 1999, the Bangladeshi players have prepared themselves for the big challenge ahead of the world cup and are confident of a much improved showing.

After much consideration, the BCB has also decided to lift the ban imposed on their star player Shakib Al Hasan which previously prevented him from taking part in any form of Cricket. This decision came following a request from Bangladesh's newly appointed Head Coach Chandika Hathurusingha.

Unite for Gaza Series
Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test Day 2.

What a cracking day of test cricket at a jam packed Lahore Stadium, supporters flocked in as the announcement was made on day one that all money raised from tickets as well as all wages earned by players for both sides will be going to the victims of Gaza.

Play resumed with Pakistan on 8 and both Hafeez and Jamshed took there time to settle in, after 10 overs they only were going at less than 3 an over but slowly they got things moving more swiftly building a brilliant partnership. Jamshed began to take charge lofting a massive six over deep mid on and then a couple of boundries in the same region a few overs later, but he went for one shot to many and was undone on 58 by a slower one from R Islam ending the opening partnership just one short from a century.

In came Younis Khan with Pakistan in a commanding position just 33 runs behind Bangladesh's first innings total, and Khan got going with a trade mark cover drive splitting the closely knitt offside field.

R Hussain came back in for his final burst of the day and immediatley removed Pakistan's other set opener Hafee for 58 and then a mini collapse follwed with Younis Khan, Umar Amin and captain Misbah all back in the shed. With only 5 overs remaining in the days play Pakistan sent in a nightwatch man in Junaid Khan but even he was not to last long becoming Hussain's 4th victim in a great late spell.

Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq managed to see Pakistan to the close of play without any further blows but Pakistan will really feel they have gave away the upper hand they have had in this match for the most part of 2 days.

Bangladesh will be delighted with the come back and will want to end Pakistans first innings as quickly as possible. Pakistan's lead stands at 34 with 4 wickets in hand, the match still seems evenly poised with Pakistan having a slight upper hand.
