Finally England have won the hadlee series and beaten Kenya in back to back finals
The much awaited first of best of 3 finals was played in Wellington between England and Kenya the two most deserving teams to be in finals
While England's only loss in preliminary rounds was to Kenya and Kenya itself had list only to England and so it looked like it will be cracker of finals
Match 1
Kenya won the all important toss and chose to bowl first and what a decision it was
Kenyan bowlers were on fire and they took wickets on regular intervals England found it very difficult to score runs and we're reduced to 70 for 9 some respite came lower down the order and a partnership of 34 runs for 10th wicket between stokes and anderson took the score to 104 all out
Kenya ns were smelling victory as the total was not much to chase but they started of poorly and lost wicket to first ball of match
Some poor running between the wickets and superb bowling by English pacers especially anderson brought them down and they were all out for just 17 runs anderson took 5 wickets and was top scorer for England for which he was judged MOTM
ENGLAND : 104 all out
KENYA : 17 all out
Match 2
After the loss in first match Kenya ns were looking to bounce back and again won the toss and chose to bowl
England started of well and maintained a rr of 6 rpo and were 60 odd for loss of 3 wickets looking well to surpass their previous match total but they again fell to spin of kamande and collapsed to 112 all out
Kamande took 7 wickets
But for Kenya story remained the same and they could not find a way to score against anderson and stokes and kept on losing wickets to finally succumb to 32 all out anderson again taking 6 wickets to be MOTM
England : 112 all out
Kenya : 32 all out
