Melbourne Rebels Squad Hit Hard

Melbourne Rebels have been hit hard after the Australian squad for the tour against England was announced.

Melbourne's star players Chris Lynn, Travis Head, and Marcus Stoinis were called up to the Australian team for match slots 3-7. While this is good news for Australia and these players, not so good for Melbourne.

Melbourne put up a very bad show against Manchester and these players were pretty good for them that day.

Chris Lynn was their standout player that day, so losing him is going to hurt pretty badly. He scored 49 runs out of 163, which is about 1/3 of their runs.

While Travis Head didn't have a great show with the bat, he still has a good record with it. He did bowl well however in the match only giving away 15 runs in 6 overs.

Marcus Stoinis didn't have an impressive day at the ground last match, but he is a talented lad. His record is very good and can translate it into results with the team.

Melbourne are going to have to fill some big shoes in the next match to stand a chance.

Balance - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
Dry - A batsman-friendly pitch. Spin and slow bowlers may shine here.
Green - A lot of movement on offer, which makes it ideal for seam and swing bowlers.
Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well.

A player can go down with injury any time during the season... We added fitness meter along with player name to measure there fitness... Player will lose 10% during play round, they also lose 8% per round during Int'l matches... Player will heal max.12% from every non-playing rounds...

Why is the Injury rate changed? Wasn't it 12-15% / Round before? the old one was better. A player can play Max 3 to 4 games without injuring himself. So a manager as to mange his team accordingly for all the series. Now its 5, and most of the series are a 5 match series. :noway:noway:noway

1. because we not playing FC matches (before it is 12 for fc & 9 for od)...
2. club also lose players during international fixture and with latest change, clubs get one more match/round to think about new combination...
3. injuries is not about series by series, if club play back to back series like round 1 to 10, than at round 6 they may have full room of injured players (if they don't manage well)...
4. i belive this fitness ratings bring balance through out the season...

They all make sense. But I have a small doubt. Since the heal is more than what the player loose every round, it does not make the team managing harder during Tri-series or Quadrangle series or ICC tournaments right. So in these cases a Manager can use the same team throughout right.

Suggestion : 4% for one non - playing round, Continuous 2 non playing round gains 7%, Continuous 3 non playing round gains 10% etc and a player miss a series gains full health... Just my thought.

This gives a chance for (or force) everyone to use their backup players too and not just a squad of 18.

When you play a series against a club, than you had a chance of getting good number of points from that series for your club rankings and also you have 50% chance to win the series too... but when you play a tournament you invest minimum of 7 slots on lesser games, and that gave you less chance to earn points for your club ranking and you also had less chance to win the tournament...

It can be done, but it create more work for me... currently I like the way I running the league, sim and post a match per day and update everything (fitness, stats etc)... maintain a simple formula will help me to update and help others to understand and follow...
About 'percentage of heal is more than they lose', because it gave a club to get back his injured main players to lineup asap... it will balance the club, series, season and etc...

If you want climb the top rank, than you have to play more matches per season... if you play more matches than you have to face injuries some time during the season... if you have injuries than you have to call your backup players... so this is a circle, I don't need to force the club to use there backup players, they will use them some time in the season...
