The Finnish national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Finland in international cricket matches.

Cricket was first played in Finland in the 1960s, but didn't become formally organised until the 1970s, under the auspices of the Helsinki Cricket Club. More clubs were founded in the 1990s, and the Finnish Cricket Association was founded in 1999. They became an affiliate member of the International Cricket Council the following year.

Cricket is growing in the country, and there are currently 10 teams contesting the national league, over 300 male players, 30 female players, 20 ECB qualified coaches, and over 30 qualified umpires. The Finnish national team has participated at various levels in European regional tournaments, their first coming in 2000, when they finished last in the ECC Representative Championship. They won the same tournament 2 years later, and were runners-up in 2004. They also competed in the ECC Affiliates Championship from 2001 to 2005, their best performance coming in their first year, when they finished in seventh place. They came last in 2005, placing them in Division Four of the newly expanded European Championship. They won that tournament in August 2006, giving them a spot in Division Three in 2007.

In what is we believe to be a very positive development, for the 2016-17 season, Cricket Finland wants to create a great team of dedicated players to help take cricket in Finland to the next level. This means that for this season, we want to incorporate a team of players who are trained and skilled at the craft which will hopefully bring all the benefits this would entail.

Here is the team which is going to represent this season-

Malaysian National Cricket Team
The Malaysian national cricket team, a team considered to be the dark horses and underdogs of South-East Asia cricket. They are represented under the Malaysia Cricket Association which is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

They were first apart of the ICC back in 1967 and have been considered as an associate member since their foundings. Up until the present, the Malaysian national cricket team has failed to qualify in all Cricket World Cups. However, they have made appearances in all but one ICC Trophy tournament. This included hosting the 1997 ICC Trophy, only to have finished in 16th place. In recent times, they have been involved in the Asian Games, as well participation in the World Cricket League.

It is now 2016, Malaysia Cricket has undergone a transformation and have acquired the services of a New Zealand-born player who is to captain a youthful side into what the Malaysian are now calling the 'New-Era' of Malaysian cricket. The Malaysian national cricket team will see them first participate in the Prime T20 Cup, in Pool C with the likes of the Dutch and India.

The Kuwait Cricket Association was formed in 1996 and they became an affiliate member of the ICC two years later.

They participated in the ACC Trophy for the first time in 2000, but couldn't progress beyond the first round, a performance they repeated in the 2002 tournament.

In 2004, Kuwait pulled off a series off upsets to finish in third place in that year's ACC Trophy, only just missing out on qualification for the 2005 ICC Trophy. They did qualify for the repêchage tournament in early 2005 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in which they finished sixth after losing to the Cayman Islands in a play-off.

In February 2006, Kuwait finished third out of five teams when they hosted the ACC Middle East Cup. In August, they took part in the ACC Trophy, but were unable to reproduce their strong 2004 performance. They were eliminated in the first round when a tie with Hong Kong left them in third place in their group on run rate. A win in this match would have seen them through to the quarter finals.

In 2007 Kuwait played in the ACC Twenty 20 Cup , which they also hosted. They finished third in the tournament, beating the UAE by three runs in a play-off.

They have now chosen the emerging all rounder, Yash Hirani as the surprise pick for the post of captain for Cricket Dynasty T20

The Deutscher Cricket Bund is cricket's governing body in Germany. It was formed in 1988 in Hamburg by the owners of the eight cricket clubs present in Germany at the time. It was granted Affiliate membership by the ICC in 1991. In 1999, thanks to recommendations from Namibia and Pakistan, it was granted Associate membership. It is also a member of the European Cricket Council.
Thanks to the massive influence of its South Asian population, Germany became one of the most promising Associates in the mid 2010s. Following the ICC's overhaul in 2016 from the billionaire Raghu, Germany became a leading force in world cricket under the leadership of Talha Hayat, a Pakistani immigrant. Apart from him and his deputy Antonio Nedelcu, all of the players are home grown.
Germany will host the first tournament of the "new ICC", the Prime Time T20 Cup. The opening match will be played between the hosts and Estonia at Berlin's Olympiastadion.

Here are some extracts from the German captain's pre-match press conference

We want to put on a great show in front of our home crowd

The pitch will be prepared by an ICC curator. We won't have any say whatsoever. We are ready and prepared to play in any conditions

I know Antonio since high school, so it'll be fun to open the innings with him

It doesn't matter against who we play. We will always have the same approach

This tournament is unpredictable. I'd like to wish good luck to all the teams and i hope that the fans will be entertained
