I know Indian fans have a history here of the "reverse jinx", but trust me there's a very growing fear among us (Indian fans) that India is being put way too high on the pedestal and I dont think that suits our personalities and the way we function/think. Right now, the talk/hype is like "might as well give the trophy to MS Dhoni and the other teams just go home". This is plain crazy. India is not that great. Not too long ago, we were even talking about how India might have a hard time in this tournament even though its in Indian conditions. Suddenly the team acquired this lofty status and we know it will most likely thud down to earth at the most crucial of moments, leaving the Indian fans devastated. And that moment is most likely going to be this tournament.

True that.

Had India lost the Australia T20 series and not reached the Asia Cup Finals, I doubt many would've ranked India as a serious contender. I've said this before and would say it even now- the middle order is quite inconsistent and this might just cost us a game or two here. The good thing though, MS seems to be striking the ball well and would do well to keep it that way. My prediction is that we may go up to the semis and lose to South Africa (who might eventually become Champions).

Not sure if this is general view here, but I've seen some in the media suggest India is favourites and I'm struggling to see how - even with home advantage. This IND team doesn't have that same, what can I say - home team power strength like the 2011 W-Cup team that you thought from early they could win it if things go perfect for them IMO.

I would say AUS/IND/SA/NZ/WI/ENG are well balanced for this format and due to the usual unpredictability of this format on a given day any of those 6 can beat each other on a given day and win this tournament.

PAK/SRI aren't that well balanced that's why I don't include them - right now Bangladesh seems more secure than both.

Today should be a cracker, a nail-biting contest I expect, Newzeland vs India

Regarding WC Favorites in my view, On paper and ground India is definitely looking hot favorites. They have proved with the performance and consistent winning over a course. Their confidence is so high and Dhoni wants to do something and team seems so focused to win this championship. I am seeing two other teams challenging them which are Australia and Newzeland. South Africa doesn't handle pressure well in crunch situations and matches as history says but who knows.

Pakistan has a superb bowling attack, They can definitely challenge any team on given day.

I was so excited to see the match today, but I can't see it. Am stuck in office with some important work. And, it looks like it will rain here. So, dunno when I can reach home :c

starsports.com ?? Hotstar?

WOW ! Bold move by NZ - dropping Southee, Boult and opting for 3 spinners

A really big gamble there by NZ management. They are going with 3 spinners and they have decided to bowl second. If there is even a bit of dew, they are in huge trouble.

Nagpur wicket was spinning 'a lot' during Afghanistan v Zimbabwe match. That's why Afghanistan dominated in that match. So I think picking three spinners is a good move. But, leaving out both Boult and Southee at once is something really bold.

NZ are on track to a win here. All they need to do is snuff out Rohit and Kohli during the chase. Yuvi has always struggled against spinners and Dhoni starts off VERY slow against spinners[DOUBLEPOST=1458050689][/DOUBLEPOST]And first ball, Guptill deposits it in the stands[DOUBLEPOST=1458050739][/DOUBLEPOST]Ashwin got lucky with the LBW. Guptill would have murdered him otherwise

Is there any website with decent Legal audio commentary for the game? Cant watch videos at work

Tbh it looked out from the eye. And you are really a pessimist, aren't you?
