NZ or West Indies. I would say West Indies but I feel like they'll stuff up in the finals...
I was asking for the replacements of the players he mentioned actually but I am glad to find some support for the West Indies. :p

Ahh that's why you read earlier posts...

I'm pretty sure 99% of cricket fans have West Indies as their second or most favourite team...

Always rooting for SAF as my second fav team.
But wouldnt mind one bit if West Indies were to win the trophy again

England look very dangerous too .. the way Roy tackled spin today was impressive

So who you are the best bet at the moment?

Not too sure at the moment. The bowlers that took the most wickets in the PSL (Sami & Nawaz) have already been picked. My only other option would be to go back to Rahat Ali as a short-term option, until the Haier T20 Cup occurs in September. Reckon if Salman Butt performs again in that tournament, then he should be included in the T20 side, for the tour to Australia.

Wouldn't harm giving Saad Nasim another shot aswell.

I still dont think India is a contender for this trophy. Our team seems to have forgotten batting here, especially on home grounds. One thing I must point out here are the words of R Ashwin, who perfectly summed up India's campaign so far. Even , he is of the opinion that a team playing like this doesn't deserve to be champions.

I have also seen a video where MSD has blasted a journalist who asked a relevant question. Truth be told, there was nothing wrong in the journalist asking him regarding the NRR and the need for India to have won by a huge margin. It was widely expected that we blast Bangladesh; however our batsmen tripped up and we definitely fell short yesterday.

I wish there be a change in the team at least for the Australia game if we are to make a match of it. Get in Rahane for Dhawan & Negi for Raina. But knowing MSD< there wont be any change.

Negi for Raina? No way. You would not want to weaken the batting against a team like Australia. And Raina got some valuable runs in that game vs Bangladesh. He has to stay, or replaced by another batsman. And two big changes like that even after having won the game against Bangladesh makes no logical sense.

With the next game in Mohali, I dont see a third spinner coming in. Mohali is traditionally a seamer's wicket, which in recent times has turned to a wicket which helps batsmen and spinners but not by much. I see the same team being retained, and maybe rightly so.

When the tournament started I thought India/South Africa would win this one for sure. But now I would be happy if one of New Zealand or West Indies wins it.Although being an Indian fan I like NZ for their cricketainment and Windies for pure entertainment.

Cracking game of cricket that. Despite not being able to play spin that well, or bowl spin that well, we're into the Semis, in Asia. :D

I've been impressed with Vandersay, seems like a good spinner...

I don't actually think Rashid or Ali did anything wrong. There weren't any full bungers or short ones. The Sri Lankans just played spin incredibly well.[DOUBLEPOST=1459013717][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, I know New Zealand are in really good form, but I think I'd rather play them than India or Australia.

I agree that Ali and Rashid didn't bowl that badly, it's just that our spinners are quite predictable. The variation is relatively easy to pick and we don't turn it that much, so it's easy to line up. That's the one thing that Swann did well, he had that Arm ball which was a great variation and made him much harder to play.[DOUBLEPOST=1459014530][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, and I think Morgan waited too long to get them into the attack. I appreciate the pacers started well, but we had a chance to get through a couple of overs when Mathews and Kapugedera were getting started, just after the powerplay. Probably the opposite to Sri Lanka, who got their spinners in early, when they probably should have kept a couple of overs of them back (because they were their best bowlers).

The good news is, England may have found their best Xl finally. It was a bit strange that Plunkett wasn't initially picked for South Africa considering how well he bowled in the Emirates. Morgan is still slightly under pressure, but I don't think there's anyone better than him in the wings to be honest. Billings and Bairstow might disagree though.

Interesting selection question. Given that we're likely to play in Delhi again, do we bring in Topley for Rashid?

Will it be the first time that there won't be any Asian team in WC knockouts ?
