That's what everyone was saying when we played Tests in India too. I think their spin is mostly predictable. Ashwin being the exception, but he doesn't turn it massively, like a leg spinner. Plus I think West Indies batting would hurt us a lot more than India's. If we found a way to get Kohli cheaply, we'd do well. With West Indies, they just keep on coming.

You ought to be joking. Which WI batsman has made a proper impact on a tough wicket this WT20? India's batting is world class, it's just that the India batters have thrown it away. Also, England are at a massive disadvantage playing at the Eden. That wicket is probably the least suiting of the English side. I genuinely believe England are a world class team, with amazing depth, future world dominators as I've said NUMEROUS times on this forum but anyone saying WI are a better team than India in any format is talking rubbish. They might beat India tomorrow for sure, but they are an inconsistent team and their players are VASTLY overrated.

I disagree. West Indies is made up of the best T20 players around the world. I'm pretty sure that when you bat till 9/10 you can expect two players to come off especially when all of them are trained T20 players (bar Ramdin). Spesking of consistency what Indian batsmen have consistently performed? Besides Kohli it's none. India are prone to spin so Badree will be licking his lips and even Suliman flipping Ben will fancy his chances against a team filled either inexperienced, underperforming or overrated (Dhoni, Pandya etc.)

Regarding, Pandya - I think you have to be rated first to be overrated LOL !

1 series and he is overrated already ??

He said "inexperienced, underperforming or overrated". I think Pandya falls in the "inexperienced" category.

That is true. My bad !! I just skimmed through his post[DOUBLEPOST=1459372266][/DOUBLEPOST]England will fancy their chances against West Indies in the final - they will win by 6 wickets and 2 overs to spare

On the hot topic of India's XI for tomorrow, there could be another option India might want to consider - Harbhajan for Yuvraj. Quite a few things in Harbhajan's favor:

1) Experience wise, he and Yuvraj are equals and so its a like-for-like there
2) Harbhajan's IPL home team is Mumbai and home ground is Wankhede, where the semifinal will be played tomorrow
3) Against Gayle, if Ashwin fails, Harbhajan can be unleashed
4) Harbhajan is quicker through the air than Negi, and this might help on a Wankhede wicket where the runs are going to be flowing
5) Harbhajan is a handy batsman who can tonk a few sixes off his own

If the management want to replace Yuvraj with a bowler, Harbhajan would be my choice, not Negi.

And Harbhajan can whack a couple of meaty blows if needed .. not sure how capable Negi is with the bat. Anyone?

People keep telling that Negi can strike a few lusty blows himself, but me being an ardent follower of CSK in IPL, I still struggle to revive any memories of Negi playing a substantial hand with the bat for CSK.

Most likely the top order is expected to come back into form on a batting heavy Wankhede wicket. In such a scenario, it makes better sense to go for a bowler who can bat. Harbhajan fits that narrative.

underperforming or overrated (Dhoni, Pandya etc.)

You do know overrated Dhoni has just got out once in this tournament so far i mean even in his last seven t20 innings . Pandya has hardly got a bat this tourny only one innigs against nz were he did get out for 1 but LOL thats hardly stuff to judge rate players let alone overrate!

I think no one gave England a chance but I am mighty impressed on how they have adopted. KUDOS to England. The only weaklink I see in England is Morgan

Our batsmen's performance other than Virat is really pathic. We need to draft in Pandey at any cost if we don't want to see a sudden collapse in batting order. I have a playing XI for India which might be impactful.
Rahane
Rohit
Kohli
Raina
Pandey
Dhoni
Pandya
Jadeja
Ashwin
Bumrah
Nehra

This is a perfect T20 lineup and if Dhoni could execute a proper plan and bring in this lineup agaist WI, I don't see we'll lose from here considering the batting conditions at Wankhade.

If we lose from here, we'll surely see Dhawan being dropped from the team for couple of years and I don't think he'll be back after performing in IPL. He has completely forgotten how to play the game. Raina will be second in the list seeing his recent form. He has developed himself as a horrible player. Good luck to Dhoni and his favourite playing XI which has 5 CSK players and one player warming the bench.

Also has anyone noticed that despite this being a home tournament for India, they have always played against the team after they have played a match in that same ground. For eg we played Pakistan at Eden when Pakistan had already played a match with Bangladesh, same with Bangladesh we played them at Bangalore when they have already played one match before. In Mohali too we played Australia after Australia already played at the same place. Each team already had the advantage of knowing the conditions better then the home team in current situation. We have still played well and fought. Its not only Kohli our bowlers have delivered good too. If Batsman step up today against WI I am pretty sure there is no stopping, we just need two complete performance and the cup is ours. Need Rohit Sharma & Raina to step up with Kohli and Dhoni being usual. Need bowlers to perform same and we have the cup
