At a popular forum I moderate at, we made a special usergroup of 30 or so members that could soft delete/ hide other members posts if they are inappropriate. A proper mod would then come across it and infract the said poster if it's really bad. If it's okay, it could be visible once again.

Thoughts?

I'm not too sure. I think the moderators are doing a good job with keeping up with poor posts and there is always the report feature as well

All I can say about the topic is that hopefully the people can learn! Maybe get rid of the rule that you have to register to download patches, thats why I registered so people will probably change that rule to get rid of people like me.

That happened to me! I was taking the piss in KBC's graphics thread and I got infracted. What a load of rubbish.

I had to exagerate it a bit lol.

I don't think we need a special lot of mods for new members. It's being taken care of fine IMO. Obviously the mods aren't super-human so they will miss a few posts but that's what report button is for.
