This match is really disappointing. One can't blame the weather too much, but the pitch provided was definitely not ideal.
That's true...even if it was sunny all 5 days this match was going to be a draw no matter wat. There is too much in the pitch for the batsman and nothing for the bowlers so the team just keep on batting

It's still beyond me why Ganguly was selected in the squad. Every series everyone says this is his final chance but yet again the next series he's given another chance. I mean c'mon...he's been getting nothing but chances for 3 years. The management in the indian team is really poor. They tried something new against Sri Lanka and South Africa by dropping Ganguly and it worked...and after the new plan worked they go back to the old plan by bring back Ganguly and not trying out the Youngsters. I can bet you all no matter how bad Ganguly does in this series...he will be given another chance england and it will again be called the final chance

This is stupid, the pitch and the weather. Maybe they could make a pitch with at least something for the bowlers? Otherwise this series is 0-0. And the weather...Floodlights? The ICC need to look at this..

I bet even a team such as Bangladesh or Zimbabwe could reach 400+ on this pitch. Absolute schocking, considering the bowlers are working their a** of but with absolutely no reward. This sort of pitch will detract people from being bowlers and is a further sign that most pitches nowadays favours the batsmans. They should get the pitch even for both bowlers and batters so it would be a competitve contest not like this where atm it is a batathon. Shame to the Groundsmen :p

The pitch is all up to the home team..we have no right of say in that. The way they want it is the way they have it. Floodlights could be used for bad light but what good are they for rain?

you are right cheaterr but even then the organizers assholes shud have prepared a wicket that should support some bowling..... what the **** they have prepared for this test match, they have spoiled the match.....and its just boring now beacause no hope of result....
i dont know what these have got in their mind while preparing the pitch... inzi wants it hard n bouncy, wasim wants it hard and boundy, everybody wants it hard and bouncy but still they have produced this pitch.................. huh

This is exactly what I said 4 pages back. . .

The pitch is flat, so it is good news for all the batsman. . . Which I believe was the reason we couldn't get (all) out Pakistan. . . The samething will happen with India. . .

Anyways, Virender Sehwag broke Sunil Gavaskar's record for the fastest hundred by an Indian opener :)

:onpc - Look at Sehwag's Bat It's Broken From The Edges

Sehwag is on a roll. No wonder nobody is posting in this thread cause they must be watching the action real-time. Too bad I m missing out on all that.

I think I have Dravid as my captain for fantasy and Sehwag in my team. Yay.

EDIt: UGH!!! I DIDN't TAKE SEHWAG :( lol, how could I. I chose Laxman over Sehwag!!!!

Sehwag will bring up the second fastest test double hundred behind Astle if he keeps going. Not far from it now.

EDIT: 4 fours in a row. Just as I post be brings up 200. Second fastest ever.

I was saying thats what they needed. And withall the bad light. this is only going to end in a draw.

Dravid hundred now, his first as captain!!! Hit Malik for three fours.

413 is the world record opening partnership. It looks like it could be beaten here. Things could change though.

576 is the highest partnership ever. But thats a long way away yet.

If I were the Pakistani bowlers i wouldn't even bother with a run up. I have a good feeling Sehwag might beat Lara's record :D

I was just thinking that, Lara will probably be a little worried right now.

The reason why I think Sehwag could do it is because it seems to me that the field is back, since Sehwag has been picking up singles and hardly any boundarys recently. If he keeps getting singles, he could easily get there, One mistake or lack in concentration and he could be out. So hes got a long way to go yet.

That opening partnership record looks in real jepordy.

Ah finally, tea. Pakistan need to regroup, and find a solution. I remember when Pakistan were batting, the Indians were silent. Now we're silent :( . I have an interesting feeling that we will get 2 wickets after Tea, as we should have a good 45 minutes. Surely they will try some big shots now :)
