India in the West Indies

Mohammed is smashing both spinners now. Hes been doing it for 3 overs, not bad at all. Maybe he thinks the Windies can still win it from here or maybe Mohammed is just an aggressive batter.

the field is all attacking aswell so thats one big reason why his getting so many boundaries

Mohammad is an aggressive batsmen, but India want the players to play shots because it gives them a better chance to pick up wickets. Besides, there are about 7 men around the bat including the keeper, so that leaves about 3 fielders elsewhere.

interesting batting by mohammed. but as said, it gives chances to the indian bowlers to get wickets.

monk is a great nickname for veeru, sohum...

The youngster is but revealing his innocence to the infinite power of the Monk. It perhaps has something to do with the fact that he doesn't know how to draw a test match. Or perhaps it is because he got pounded for 5 sixes in his last two overs.

By the way, would Fidel Edwards bat if the Monk so allowed him to?

i hope he doesnt, but i think he will if they have the task of saving the game. it seems he has saved a game against zimbabwe in 2003 by batting out time.

15 overs minimum to go. west indies could just get away here

The Monk appreciates your good wishes.

Down to the last hour. India need 3 tailenders, West Indies need to bat like they've never done before. COME ON INDIA!! Seems like we have better luck when I'm watching from my bed.

i would drop vrv singh

india can drop vrv for pathan. may be if the next match's pitch is a batsman friendly one, drop one of the batsmen for harbhajan singh (kaif?).

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Zimbabwe like to show how a team can lose from winning situations.

Dropping Kaif would be absurd and akin to what they did in Pakistan. They need to keep Kaif in, now. It's their fault that they gave him the opportunity to come back into the team. :D

what are the umpires discussing abt?

i hope nothing like bad light, rain, etc curtails from here on. this game needs to finish off with the remaining overs being bowled!

New ball taken. Let's see if Sreesanth and Munaf can put it on target. I think if we get one more wicket, we may try the short stuff with VRV again.

i just have a feeling that west indies can get away with this

If Muhammad keeps playing like he has, they won't. He wants to smash his way out of it, and Munaf has bowled two good balls against him. Just beating hte edge.

New ball taken, this is it. Mohammed hits the 2nd ball from Patel to the fence. Maybe he can get a 50 to go with his 3 wickets in the 2nd inns.

Bradshaw not happy, hes had a word to the youngster. And India have brought in a 4th slip.
