It is not an anti-Harbhajan sentiment. It's been a long time since 2001. He hasn't been very effective since his return from the injury.

Also he seems stuck between picking wickets and containing runs in the ODI's! And in the tests, since its Kumble who also attacks from the other end, its not easy for Harbhajan. Attack from both ends dont work! One end should attack while the other end should bottle up!

I see that he was the best bowler for India on the first day of this first test against Zimbabwe! It seems he was wicketless but good! Still he deserves a kick and may be should be sent back to domestic cricket!

I was wondering where all this anti-Harbhajan sentiment was coming from. I though he bowled beautifully in that 2001 series against Australia, has he never really re-captured that form?

From what I've seen of Kartik (admittedly this is not a great deal) he seemed like a good, but not potentially great bowler. Looking forward to the England series it will be with spin (obviously) that you can trouble them. Big decisions to be made!

warne troubled us but he's a completely different spinner to Kumble and Singh.

We attacked Warne and scored about 800 runs off him.

40 actually. It's funny how he took most of those in the 4 tests in which we outplayed you ;)

India are 89/1 with Sehwag out for 44 and Gambhir on 41*

Great clean up by Pathan by taking 5 wickets!

India going on well here on 245-3 Lets hope laxman and ganguly can get a big partnership and get India to a big total.

Its 304/3 with laxman reaching his hundred and is not out on 109! Must be a good one for him. India carving up at 4.1 per over!

Come on Dada! Time for you to score another ton!

4.1 an over against the Zimbabweans? pah we did that against the Aussies!

Ok Sir! We're not here to compare the scoring rates of the Indians with that of the English. The Indian batsmen have been in indifferent form for too long and today's scoring rate sounds pleasant to us at least! Why cant we boast about it? Still I would say its pretty less. We should have scored faster had ganguly not been that cautious in the end! He is not out on 23 off 85 balls!

Why do I always find that some one or the other tries his level best to play down the team's achievements? OK, today wasnt a very big achievement but its not about today! This has been happening for quite sometime. The achievements of the team is downplayed whearas the failure of the team is glared to the hilt with the players being abused and receiving all those sh(t treatment which is very harsh on them!

India 325/3 (82.0 ov). India lead by 46 runs with 7 wickets remaining in the 1st innings.
Well played Laxman and Dravid. Hope Laxman will get couple more runs tomorrow and set Zim to chase about 300+ in their second inning.

India should look for a lead of 350 by the end of tomorrow! If they can score 325 in less than a day and lead by 41. then they can score 309 more runs to get a 350 lead which will not only shut Zimbabwe out of the match but will make a draw unlikely!

Ganguly should make it his day tomorrow! A century is what he badly needs now!

Oh and Who said that this series will be a cake walk for the indians?

Oh I remember our own member Micheal vaughan who knows alot about England cricket, but nothing about cricket way to go vaughan keep brining those use less predictions.

Oh, so scoring 279 means that its not gonna be a cakewalk for the Indians?

Anyways, no one really wants a cakewalk! If Zimbabwe can give a fight, one would surely be happy! But the way they capitulated to New Zealand and the way they lost to minnows Bangladesh who are way less experienced than Zimbabwe, any body would predict a rout by India over Zimbabwe! India even in their weakest form are always predicted to roll over Zimbabwe!

Back to normal now.

I think India will win this match on the fourth Day. It's good Laxman got a century. That will give him some confidence.

And Ganguly still struggling with making runs.
