Do you lot always get as excited as this when your team is doing well? lol
I dont wish to p**s on your parade or anything but quite frankly my village team would give the Zims a run for there money at the moment.

The bring them on and ask them to play against Zimbabwe! I am not interested abt your village team!!! I am happy only for ganguly, thats all. Did I ever say that India has done a superb job against Zimbabwe? I am just happy for ganguly as its an important innings for him. Though against a below ordinary attack, the importance of this innings is what I am trying to find happiness with!

Good fighting inning from Dada and once again excellent batting by pathan and Harbhajan Singh. Zimbabwe 67/6 (17.2 ov). Zimbabwe trail by 208 runs with 4 wickets remaining. India all set for a victory tomorrow. Well bowl Pathan once again.

I just read Ganguly was asked to step down. I hope they won't do it. He is not good in form lately, but he is a very good captain.

Zimbabwe's first innings was good. Second was disappointing.

For me the Man of the Match will be Pathan.

I hope he really takes this innings of his acts as a catalyst for him to regain his best batting form!

I find it funny! When Sachin changed his game and started accumulating runs slowly, people said he has matured with his batting. But when ganguly does it today, why criticise him? Yes, Zimbabwe is a very ordinary attack but when in poor form, even a street attack assumes the power of an Australian bowling attack! It wasnt a great innings by Laxman because his form was way way better than Saurav. It was a small knock by Dravid and not great at all because of the same above reason!

but with saurav, its a more than satisfying knock because he has been in terrible form lately!

I agree. Your in great for and you smash evrything without a thought. In bad form, you tend to watch each delivery. All of a sudden they move more, are of quicker pace, jagging of wrong angles. You don't come on the front foot and offer a shot, are stuck on the backfoot defending. Things are hard. I have been through it. But once your in form, the world is your oyster. I hope he wallops Zimbabwe in the next match.

We also need a good third seamer for ODIs, seeing that Pathan is our future allrounder. Maybe our dream of two spinners in ODIs will come true...maybe Mishra/Bhajji?

Ganguly is a good player but don't put hopes on his century vs a country (who are in genocide) to regain is former glories.

I take this message of yours in the normal positive tone though at some places it makes me feel if it might be sarcasm on ur part (I am not saying ur being sarcastic, just a doubt!)

I hope he (Ganguly) gets his elbow scanned soon and renders himself fit for the second test! He is right now playing with the pain and I hope he is fit for the second! Runs under the belt against any genocide team is good for himself! He has to wallop Zimbabwe in the next match! If he really does it, then I would say he has indeed turned around the corner with this knock of 101!

One of the boringest centuries I have ever seen,

ganguly a world class player who averages something around 40s in the test matches and is struggling to score runs againts a weak team,Surely for me he looks a different player he really does he doesnt playe fluently which he normally did back days.was such a good player and now he looks like he doesnt belong into that line up,

Ganguly step down and let some one else take the captaincy because surely with ganguly India will go no where exept down at the ICC Rankings.

Even if sachin had played slowly if he were here...i doubt ppl would have criticised him.
Its just that sachin has the indian demi god status and sourav does'nt.
Anyhow let ganguly come back and see what he makes of the bowling attacks.
I think that he played slowly cause after laxman's fall yuvraj and kartik followed quickly. Its commendable of ganguly to stay with pathan and reach to his century.I feel he delivers when india needs him .(ex australia test brisbane-2004)

Now Ganguly cant step down at all! Because he has now outburst about somebody asking him to step down (its almost sure that its Chappell!). Do if he steps down from captaincy, then it has to be curtains for him from the Indian team because he will lose respect within the team when playing as a player! So the only way out for Ganguly would be to retire when being the captain just like how Steve Waugh did against India in 2004!

And why should he retire now? He still has good cricket left in him!

Good all round disply by India, Ganguly got a low century, but a ****ury is a century, laxman and dravid both played good knocks and Pathan bowled brilliant, just one more knock out blow needed for India to win a test series in zim for the first ever time!!!!.

Can some one tell me how much points India stand to gain if they win the test series here against Zimbabwe? Since they drew it last time, dont they get to gain some points if they win here!

Next time, I want to see Ganguly score a double ton and that too at a strike rate of 70+!!!!!

You can expect that from Sehwag, remember when he scored 309 against Pakistan and his strike rate was around 85. :)
