Two in FIVE YEARS isn't much better than one to be honest. When was India's last away series win?

Outside the SC? New Zealand '09 and England under Dravid (disregarding all the series in the West Indies).

The players need more time playing in the most foriegn of conditions: the only time that would logically fit into the international calendar would be April/May in the UK, but that is when the IPL is held. Playing more T20s or more games in India isn't going to help them at all!

Indeed, but only considering only FLT20 and BBL (as the OP suggests) will hardly do any good to the team. And as you've put it, we're more concerned in making money throughout the summer which means no room for improvement.
